screens are wide, so why not exploiting the full width of the screen and have the parameters panel running (optionally) either left or right of the screen from top to bottom (like tool panels in an app i.e photoshop). Where it sits at the moment at the bottom of the page is annoying as it takes away lots of the space of the actual canvas and there is lots an lots of scrolling when configuring a page element.

 

You know it makes sense :D
