Update seems to have impacted slider images

Updated iBlogPro6 just now and the homepage sliders seem to be cutting off the embedded text on the images. Can anyone provide a fix for this (CSS or better image sizes)? Thanks.

Hi,

 

You can't fix this this CSS, if you did you would end up with the image initially loading like it is now, then reverting to the reduced size. Therefore, you will want to change your image dimensions.

 

At present the slider is 970 x 500, yet your images are sized at 940 x 450, so make your images match the size of your slider should resolve your issue.

Thanks Danny. What's weird as it was OK before the update. Can I change the slider to match the images instead of the images to match the slider? If so, where? thanks.

If you want to reduce the sliders width you can either do so, by using the decrease/increase options or reduce your sites width. As the slider size is determined by the width of the container it is housed in. In regard to the images working fine before the update, I am not sure how this can be, as the slider uses the cover value on background-size and there were no changes to the slider in the update ?

Danny... I got the client to reproduce the slides at the adjusted size and they look great now. Thanks.

HOWEVER... we have a new issue that occurred when we made the change. I had followed the advice on this thread http://forum.pagelines.com/topic/36561-how-do-i-make-each-revslider-slide-a-link/and had made the entire slide a link by providing a link and then using the space code in the button text. It's still setup that way and I've tried reentering it and clearing caches but now none of the slides are linked anymore. Any thoughts on what to do about it? The client is still unhappy even though we've fixed the initial issue.

      I am trying to get iBlogpro6 running under https. All is fine but I am getting a mixed content warning:
      Mixed Content: The page at 'https://s11r.co/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure stylesheet 'http://s11r.co/content/uploads/pagelines/compiled-css-core-1464872768.css'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS. The compiled css file are delivered in http not https. I tried toi delete them several times but the error is still there.
      Do I need to fix something in the theme folder? What? Where?

      I'm in trouble with a site using iBlogPro 6 with the DMS editor. Developers told me to ask support in forums. Here we go…
      I try to make a page with tabs containing a kind of dictionary with some terminology. I am saving and refreshing all the time but the problem is, in some point, the changes aren't saved and I get the three default tabs again as nothing happened. I did it once and again. Then I saw the problem was when I write more than 50.000 characters (or 60.000 counting white spaces).
      What can I do? How do I have to configure server settings? Or is this a theme problem?
      Please I would appreciate any comment about it.

      - I have disable all plugins. Still same errors.
      - I have not edited any files.
       
      - Only custom code I added is:
