Grandstand Not Sliding in Safari

Recommended Posts

21thirteen

I've just installed and set up Grandstand in DMS2 for the first time. In checking the design of the page in different browsers I discovered that the slide effect, which works so nicely in Chrome and Firefox on both Mac and PC, does NOT work in Safari.

The dev site can be seen at http://krysiaart.21thirteenhost.com

The client is an artist who, of course uses a Mac and Safari.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?

WP version is 4.1

DMS2 2.1.9.2

Thanks,

Perry

Hi Perry,

Yeah, I can even see this happening on our demo page of Granstand. Therefore, I have reported this as a bug to our tracker. Thanks for reporting.

Hi Danny - thanks for letting me know. Is there a way I can be notified if/when it's fixed?

Thanks,

Perry

You will be notified when DMS receives an update. If it gets fixed soon, I can pass you on the commit changes so you can do it yourself.

That would be greatly appreciated, Danny. The site has been live for some time now at http://krysiawoodsart.com -

The Grandstand animation is gorgeous in Chrome and Safari, but does not work in Firefox or IE - the panels just disappear instead of sliding down - a shame.

Thanks,

Perry

We are working on site loading performance and would like to get a passing grade, and our load time down to 3 seconds.  We will be making updates to the content size to bring it down as well. Please let me know if there is anything that can be done to address the loading issues found here within PageLines Plugins.

I recently took over the maintenance of a site that is/was somewhat broken.  Initially, when I tried to login to the wp-admin backend, the Dashboard a blank page or a page not found would occur after authenticating.  After setting debug on and tracking down the issue, the problem had to do with a corrupt PageLines extension called GrandStand.  When I deactivated the extension, along with another unused extension, I was able to get into the admin back-end.  However, when I looked for the extension to re-download it on PageLines' site, I couldn't find any reference to it.  Is there a place to re-download this extension?

      Greetings
I just migrated an old DMS2 site to PL5 at cassClayton.com. If you look at the site on Safari browser, you will see the top nav bar (NavPro) is white, but gets revealed as you start to scroll the page. NavPro is used in the Header section, then a Text section in which I have Shortcode for the Smart Slider3 plugin. Would have preferred to use a PL-compatible slider but found it difficult to get Flick and Impress slider to simply fill full screen, just height of images (they were filling whole screen, hence large black area filling in the rest).
So seems on Safari that the load order of the plugin may be causing the Nav bar to be overwritten? or something.
      Hoping someone can help?
thanks...  (works fine on Chrome, Firefox, even Tor, just not Safari)

      Hi,
A site of ours irregularly does not finish loading. The page in question is https://rw360.org/grievance-process/
In Safari, I'll occasionally get the following error:
[Error] TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'a.plModel.init')
          (anonymous function) (site.js:5:91)
          i (jquery.js:2:27455)
          add (jquery.js:2:27750)
          ready (jquery.js:2:29819)
          (anonymous function) (site.js:5)
          Global Code (site.js:5:3421)
This seems to be a bug in PageLines as far as I can tell. Any suggestions or a fix coming?
      Thanks,

      Hi guys!
I am using a plugin called Speed Booster Pack to speed up the load time of michaelkummer.com. One of the plugin settings, Minimize HTML and JavaScript causes an error that I only get with Pagelines. With other themes, such as WordPress' Twenty Seventeen, I do not get that error.
I have reproduced the problem on my staging site and if you look at the JavaScript console, you will see the following error:
      SyntaxError: Unexpected end of script
Any clue what PageLines may be doing differently to be contributing to this issue? I contacted the plugin developer and they, of course, pointed me to the theme developer
      Thanks
      Michael
