Pagelines vs. Livecomposer

Hi,

 

I´ve checked a lot of page/site builders and come up with two most favorites:

 

Pagelines and Livecomposer

 

Now I wonder what are the pros of Pagelines, as for now I only see the disadvantage of not being able to use other themes than the 5 coming from the page line store. Which is not a lot as Livecomposer basically works with "every" theme out there...

 

Please help me in finding reasons for Pagelines as I somehow think it´s the more reliable tool...

Hi Sascha,

I have never used the Live Composer. Therefore, I am unable to compare the two. However, it is my understanding that the Live Composer is likely to be very similar to Visual Composer which means both are plugins. I wouldn't recommend building a site using these kinds of plugins. Especially, if you're going to hand off your design to a client, as it would mean that they can use the plugin and likely nuke your design or worse yet, uninstall the plugin. Therefore, for me personally, if I was forced to use one of these plugins, I would have to limit the clients access to the site so this doesn't happen.

 

I have also just read that these plugins are notorious for having really bad issues when they receive an update, which is another issue. Some users may like these plugins and I can see why they would, but for me it would be too much messing about and money having to purchase a theme you like and a plugin so that theme does what you want it to do.
