DMS Editor - partially visible, not completely

Recommended Posts

Dries De Porre

Dear,

I changed the animation in a text file to „from right” and then suddenly the page lines DMS editor did something strange.

As you see in the image the editor has gone to the right so I can't see it partially …

What to do about it?

Kind regards,

Dries

Hi Dries,

It is not possible for the animation option right to change the complete alignment of the DMS visual editor. Therefore, you're going to need to provide a link to the site in question, disable all active plugins and make sure DMS debug mode is active (WordPress Admin Dashboard > PageLines > Scroll to the bottom, its the last option). Then see if disabling your plugins resolves your issue.

Also, in the screenshot, you appear to have an error regarding PHP allocated memory. Therefore, you're going to need to contact your web host provider and ask them to increase your PHP memory, as what you currently have is very low.

Hey Danny,

Thx for your fast response.

I've contacted the provider, one.com, and it's automatically set to 128MB, they can't change it.

So it is strange that my page says that I'm only allocated at 25,07MB...

When I deactivated the plugins, nothing had changed.

I can't also find the DMS Debug mode, because the dashboard hasn't got a pagelines link, also not in the left column.
I'm using the free template that I had found on Wordpress Templates.

I did manage to get rid of the strange view of the DMS editor by doing the following:

I deleted the DMS LESS Fallback   or data in the Custom/less cms that I had put in after viewing this link:

http://docs.pagelines.com/tutorials/creating-a-branding-area

And that gave the solution, don't know what the problem was.

Kind regards

I have recently replied to your email regarding the exact same issue. Therefore, in future please keep all responses to our support forums and this topic, as our helpdesk is not for technical support.

Please review my response on the email, as your issue may have been caused the code you added to the TextBox section. Also, your PHP memory has suddenly disappeared since you contacted your web host provider. Therefore, they most likely have upped your allocated memory silently. Your DMS editor is also working as intended and doesn't look like your screenshot when I was logged in.

Therefore, you only need to follow my instructions on the email about removing that script from the TextBox section and everything else appears to have been resolved.

Again, if you have any further issues, please do not reply via email, keep all your technical support questions to our support forums.

I added some less code to the header page to add social media links following the directions on http://docs.pagelines.com/tutorials/creating-a-branding-area andam now unable to edit any of the pages in pagelines DNS.   For example when I select pagelines from the dashboard in chrome the dns editor doesn't display. All I see is at the bottom of the page is text that reads "thank you for creating with Wordpress" . I logged into to the site and viewed the dashboard via firefox and deleted the less code and updated the page but it didn't solve the problem.

The DMS editor displays in firefox but when I try to edit it in DMS I get the message that to use chrome. I logged into the site using my lap top and have the same issue on this computer so it doesn't appear to be a cache issue.  Please advise.

Thanks!

I just noticed that I wasn't able to successfully able to edit the DMS LESS Fallback which I had put into a text box  and now appears in the

DMS Fallbacks setting page in my wordpress dashboard. How do I delete this code?  I logged in with firefox and deleted the code and then opted to save less but the code keeps reappearing.

Just noticed that I'm posting in the wrong forum. I'm using a licensed version of DMS and also posted this issue in the paid version forum.

I have just this moment used the code in that article and never encountered any LESS parse error. Therefore, you must have made an error somewhere. Can you provide all the code you used and the steps in which you took to create something similar to that article please.

How can I get support on pagelines DMS? The product isn't that old and my skeleton themes aren't working and I can't get support in the same way?

I have a number of legacy websites that are running on the above version of Pagelines DMS, where the template has stopped working. I am using a skeleton theme to all of them. What do I need to do to rectify this.

Looking for some help on a recently developed issue. Editor will not load.
      Theme:  DMS2
Error from:  Chrome - Inspector - console view
Error message: Refused to execute script from 'http://xxxx.xxx/wp-content/themes/dms/dms/editor/js/gettext.js/?ver=4.9.7' because its MIME type ('text/html') is not executable, and strict MIME type checking is enabled.
Occurs on all sites on same server.
WP versions to 4.9.5, 4.9.6, 4.9.7 = same behavior. Worked properly on these same versions until 07/04/2018.
No new plugins. Isolating plugins offers same behavior.
Server vendor reports no changes, patches, etc.
      Server re-starts no impact.

      Thank you.

Hi, I desperatly need some help fixing the DMS editor. It's not loading at all en gets stuck at 'Oops there may be an issue loading.'
I'm able to find this two warnings in chrome:

www.studiekeuzemaken.nl/:4607 Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token
pl.editor.js:740 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'lang' of undefined
          at Object.reloadConfig (pl.editor.js:740)
          at Object.startUp (pl.editor.js:72)
          at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (pl.editor.js:10)
          at i (jquery.js:2)
          at Object.fireWith [as resolveWith] (jquery.js:2)
          at Function.ready (jquery.js:2)
          at HTMLDocument.K (jquery.js:2)

When I dug into the first warning a little deeper (line 4607)I found out that there is a typo in a css that's causing the SyntaxError. Because the css is placed within a textbox and the editor is not loading I'm not able to fix this.

      What can I do?

      Please help!
