DMS 2 Weird loading times for DMS Editor

Hello everybody,

 

I have a strange issue for quite some time now, as the loading times of the editor are just unbearably slow.

 

Most of the times, it just hangs up and does not allow editing of the site at all. I finally made a move to update the site from 1.16 or something to DMS 2, by uploading the dms per ftp.

 

I did this to my cloned testing site, test.talentschmiede.com. Voila, everything went smooth and easy, the editor works like a charm.

 

After testing everything, we did the same thing to the production site, talentschmiede.com, only to realize, that the editor is now unbearable slow again.

 

Keep in mind, this is exactly the same site as we used for testing purposes, just with a different domainname.

 

Deactivating all plugins did nothing. What the heck can be the cause of this? It seems most likely, that something in the area of DNS or something might be the cause, as the identical copy of the site has no problem at all.

 

We use a CDN for the production site, which is not active for the test-site, so this might be another area for errors.

 

Any ideas?

You appear to be using a cache plugin W3 Total Cache. We do not provide support to users who have active cache plugins. The reason for this is, that almost all users think that these cache plugins work like magic and that all you need to do is install and active the plugin. Which is not the case, these cache plugins especially W3 Total cache with all its options, need to be configured to match your server configuration. If this plugin is configured incorrectly, it will likely have the complete opposite effect on your site and cause errors.

Therefore, I recommend you flush the cache on the plugins options and disable that plugin and see if your sites performance improves.

 

If that doesn't resolve the issue, then you're going to need to go into detail as to what the difference are between your test and live site. Also, I ran a reverse IP check on your domain and I am unable to see in the list of sites using that IP your test.talentschmiede.com sub domain. Therefore, as you positive they're on the same server ?
