DMS 2 adding a search form to an existing hook

I already have a hook with a phone number, login link in the pagelines_before_navi but how do I get a search form in there as well? There's nothing in the old docs or the answers about this. 

 

I don't want the search form in the navi as it is causing the menu to wrap, especially on the ipad and this would fix the issue. Link to site is here

"search box" as a shortcode would be a handy. We've got round it in the past by adding a widgetizer with the search and the other bits in a text section. Be interested in an easier way

Search is a core WordPress function and is not something specific to a theme. For example, if we didn't include a search bar in the NavBar or Navi section, that doesn't mean DMS doesn't have search functionality. All it means is that you're going to need to add the WordPress search bar to your theme yourself.

Therefore, if you have an existing hook and wish to add something like a WordPress search bar, you're going to need to review the WordPress Codex - http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_search_form
