Hover - Out of sorts on Windows browsers

Recommended Posts

jmlavi13

I have used the Hover app and added 6 images. They look great on the back-end and on Mac.

On Windows 7 browser it pushed the images and text to the right.

Also on Windows it pushed the background image up on the page up cuts of the top of the image (again only on Windows)

IE version 11.0.96

Chrome version 34.0.5

Firefox version 39.02

Hi,

I have moved your topic to the correct forum location, as Hover is a third party extension and therefore, isn't something we can provide support. I have moved the topic to the correct location and James Giroux mentioned the developer. Who will be able to assist you further.

Hey There,

Unfortunately that is the reality of working with different browsers.  I've tried to make using Hover as seamless as possible across browsers but unfortunately Internet Explorer just isn't capable of doing a lot of the things that modern browsers like Firefox, Safari and Chrome are able to do.  I've added in fallbacks but IE continues to be behind.  If you could send a screenshot, we might be able to sort it out.  It was working with IE 11 when I tested it in prelaunch so I'm surprised there's an issue.

Thanks,

James.

I just did an update for hover.  I did some research on the effect I was using in CSS and it looks like they should work without prefixes in IE10-11 but they need to have the non-prefixed declaration before the prefixed one so I've done that for the Charlie effect you are using on your site.  Try updating the section (once it pushes live) and let me know if that helps.

James.

I have the same problem, Explorer and Firefox pushes the images and text to the right...

What is the solution?

Magnus

Not getting any answers here? Is there anywhere else I should go for support?

I do not have an MS Windows machine to use for testing, but would something like this work?

.hover-box {
@-ms-document url-prefix() {
.jgHover figure { width: 100%; height: 100%;}
}
}
