PageHeader Image Size Mobile vs Desktop

Recommended Posts

kellyc214

Hello,

I really like the PageHeader but I am have an issue with the size of the image. The view on mobile is an accurate representation of the height of the image but the desktop view significantly decreases the height of the image. Interestingly, this is only happening on one of my pages. The About page. The PageHeader settings on each page are the same for all of my pages.

Desktop

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Here is the link to my website. http://childperformerscoalition.org/

Best,

Kelly

Hi Kelly,

The PageHeader section has been designed to display your Pages Header, it was not intended to display images only. If you want to display an image like in your screenshots you should really use a section that was mean't to do so, such as Canvas or MediaBox.

The reason as to why the Page Header looks differently on Desktop and Mobile, is because it has a specific height and uses the CSS property and value of background-size and cover. Cover basically, resizes your image to fit the container it is placed in. This means that some of your image may be lost so that the image fits correctly to the containers size.

Another alternative would be to use custom CSS to resize the image for your Page Header section. However, this isn't something we can assist with and you will likely need to then use more CSS to fix any issues you may encounter with mobile styling.

      Hi
      I have a map here http://www.iloveoffset.com/maps/
I want to add several pointer locations to the map, but when I do they do not appear.
On this map there are 2 pointer locations and as you can there is only one visible.
Earlier today I added 7 and could only see 4 so there is something odd going on.
My theme is up to date

      Hello,
I've been having trouble unlocking the template section for past couple of weeks. When I try clicking nothing happens.
I've deleted my custom css and removed plugins. Im down to having only the following plugins:
      Akismet
      Contact Form 7
      DMS Professional Tools
      Pagelines Updater
      WooCommerce
It was working fine before i have no idea what's going on with it.

My DMS 2 site http://www.heart-stone.com/ will not save any new custom css... I can still edit templates and publish those but any custom css that I enter never saves.
All WP files, themes, and plugins are up to date.
Any thought about what might be causing this?

Is there a way to edit the custom CSS via FTP? I know I can edit the custom code in the Chrome editor but is there a file path I can use to find and edit the CSS directly from our FTP?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Using navbar section with correctly configured WP menu to display main navigation at https://elenaangel.com.
All fine in desktop viewport. Menu displays twice in hamburger mode. How to fix this please?
