Modal Popup Seems to Knock Out WHP6 Footer

Recommended Posts

Claude203

There is an odd problem that seems to have started only this week. It is that when I edit or add the Modal Popup section in the footer (we are using WHP6 Footer) the footer itself disappears and all that is left is the exit button, visible in place of the footer. I tried to delete the Modal Popup section and start over, but that just replicated the same problem. So I am wondering, did something change with this section? It was working perfectly prior to me trying to edit it this week. Thank you very much.

Hi Claude, I haven't changed anything in the section for quite some time. I'll see if I can replicate the issue and get back with you.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the timing, but this started to occur right after I upgraded to WordPress 4.1 (from WP 4.0) and also right after I upgraded to the newest version of WHP6 and latest DMS2. Thanks.

Hi Claude, I just tested on a local install with the lastest version of Whitehouse Pro 6 and WP 4.1, and I didn't see any issues when I put the Model Popup Section in the footer. Do you have this on a live site I can test with?

Hi, it is on a live site:

http://www.blackfives.org

However, at the moment we are having some technical difficulties checked out so we have to wait until that's done, possibly by tomorrow (this would require a new topic, but just to let you know we are getting irregular page renditions, sometimes a white page, depending on whether a trailing slash is used in the url or if www is used or not).

I decided to de-activate the footer-based Modal Popup for now. We do have one placed in content that seems to be working just fine!

Thank you,

Claude

Hi Claude, sounds to me like you are having other issues with the site that is not necessarily being caused by the Modal Popup plugin.

You may be right. But to confirm that, we first want to repair and correct any issues and re-test the Modal Popup, then respond back and let you know. Thanks!

So, I found the mistake. I had forgotten to remove a "</div>" from the body of the Modal Popup. Once I removed it, the problem went away. Thanks!

I was surprised to see I had no menu today - out of the blue - its actually moved to the bottom of the page!  After hours of fiddling and disabling every single plugin, leaving just plagelines the issue is still present.  See video for a basic text box - I moved it into the head and it jumps to the bottom and shows just above the footer but below the main content.  I have a temp fix by placing the menu into the first row on the main content but it does mean other than my home page, all other pages have no menu.  A quick fix is very urgent for this bug.

OK - folks - back with another nit... The "back to top" link works - BUT - it's only active (i.e. clickable with the associated action following) when the mouse-over hovers over the footer area of the page. I did a quick change of the z-depth (to -1) and nothing made a difference. Any thoughts on how to make the *entire* back-to-top icon hover-able/actionable? Thanks!

hi all, I have some trouble using PL5 on my site.
I used plugins for event calendar (event on) and plugin (timetable responsive scheduler for WP) for schedule (classes) in the gym.
The problem is, that post from this 2 plugins are shown without menu in header and footer. (I setup header and footer) in the page editor for all type of page.
When I create a lesson, it creates posts with slug (I have a slug "lekce" & event for events).
I try to edit the post with PL editor, but editor is not opening on the post.

Do you have some idea where should be some problem? Thanx so much.
here are links for the sites :
      site with schedule :

site of one of the class (pilates)
      http://www.myfit.cz/lekce/pilates/
      site with calendar :

7 side with one event from the calendar :

when I have my site on DMS2 it was working :-(

      Hi guys,
I have been unsuccessfully trying to get my 3-column widgetized footer aligned centered. The widget section itself is aligned left because the alignment appears to be controller the widget's content only. The container that contains the widget section is aligned centered. I have chosen a 3 column layout and I added 3 widgets, assuming they would be aligned centered.
Any idea of what I may be doing wrong?
The page is question is: http://www.michaelkummer.com
