Will PageLines DMS2 complete these option, I currently use PageLines framework.

My question -

If I upgrade from Frameworks to the 99$ version of DMS2, will I be able to complete my custumization updates?

My reason -

I recently hire a designer from fiverr, he told me a few of my edits to my custom field wp plugin will not work because:

"your developer used an old framework  ... code is hidden so if i will make changes ipage code will make conflict results, it will not work"

"using this theme frame work, no more customization is possible with your needs..Thankyou"

Below is a list of my wanted customizations, here is a link to sample post page http://tinyurl.com/ktaj7kh). Also, here is a link to the "custom fields" plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-custom-fields/

Post section edit
- The "share this" plugin info should display below the "custom fields" section.

"Custom Field" options.
- content is not showing in fields #1. Image, #12. Downloads and Preview, #13. Video when view from post page; but shows in the field customization page
- in the field options #6. Tempo, #7. Version, #8. Genre, but on the page the Genre field is before the version field and that is incorrect order.
- #11. field is "Additional Info" but on the post page display "Contact"

Hi,

You do not need to upgrade to DMS to use Advanced Custom Fields, it will work with PageLines Framework too. However, I would recommend upgrading to DMS, as it is better, easier to use and PageLines Framework is now a legacy theme. This means it is feature frozen and will only receive updates if a WordPress release nukes PageLines Framework. PageLines Framework is now open source and available for free on GitHub.

To use ACP, you can either use the shortcodes in your Page/Post editor, or sections such as ContentBox in PageLines Framework or MediaBox, TextBox etc.. in DMS. You can also use the more advanced method and implement ACP by using hooks or create your own section to include the fields.

Therefore, the simplest method is to use the shortcodes. However, you can use the PL Nextbox and add the following which will display your field:

the_field('field_name');

Please be aware that we do not provide support for users who are having issues with third party plugins nor do we provide customization support.

Thanks Danny,

How can I findout about any pageline groups or meet-ups in my area? Or, is there any Pageline support groups that can keep user updated on product awareness and tips on using PageLines products (Currently in Dallas, TX). I recently check youtube to learn more about DMS2, but didn't find to many current vids from PageLines regarding DMS2 and beginner tips for newbie users. Can you lead me into the correct direction if I have over looked any helpful page to help me learn more about DMS2 and how to use it in the most effective way.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

If you're not the correct person to ask this question or this is not the right place to ask for help, my apologies.
