Different fixed nav bars.

Hello :)

On the homepage my site, I'm using the 'Navi' in fixed position.  I've anchored the links in the 'Navi' to sections on the homepage, and in each of those sections is a link to a full page with more information on that topic.  Each of these full pages of info have a different navigation menu than the homepage.  The full topic pages use the 'Navbar' and have links pointing to the other 5 pages of information.  Is there a way to have the 'Navbar' menu fixed on these pages or have 2 different fixed navigation bars?

Hi Kelli,

You can place whatever you like in the Fixed region of your template. However, as this region like the header and footer is a global region, whatever sections you place in there will be visible on all pages. It will also be one configuration, meaning that however, you configure the NavBar in the Fixed region, it will be the same for all pages. Which isn't going to work in your case, as you will want to have different menus per page.

The only alternative I can suggest, would be to use the Scroll Spy section instead. This navigation section gets populated by HTML title attribute and not the WordPress menu system, it is also fixed upon scroll to.

Hi Danny!

I'm sorry that I'm just reading about scrollspy but could I use scrollspy on/as the homepage navigation and have it anchored to sections on the homepage but have it only show on the homepage?  While using the fixed Navi on all other pages and have it hidden on the homepage?

To use ScrollSpy to navigate to specific sections on your homepage, you will need to place a MediaBox or TextBox above the section you wish to navigate to and then use the ScrollSpy markup to populate the nav.

In regards to using ScrollSpy on homepage and Navi on all other pages, you will likely need to use the Hide sections on Page option.

      Hey Guys,
Having some issues with the dropdowns for the Navi in DMS. For some reason I can't have any more than 2 levels in the dropdown. The cursor is hovering over RPAS Training (and the arrow to indicate more is visible) but no matter what browsers, it never shows up. Also inspecting the HTML shows that the additional fields are not there.
I have inspected the PHP and cannot see anything that is limiting the number of levels. Any assistance to get the additional levels showing would be great.

      Hello,
I have an issue with NavPro on mobile when the link of the menue is on the same page.
      Here is my website: http://foundersofthefuture.co
The isssue comes from the fact that in my menue most of the items send somewhere else on the same page using anchor link (eg. #container_u788888).
This works well on desktop but on mobile, nothing happens when clicking on the link. One of the link of the menue of the homepage "France" sends to another page of the website and this one works well even on mobile.
I am using the Pagelines framework theme and also used a wordpress plugin (jQuery Smooth Scroll) for smooth scrolling .
Thanks in advance for your help and let me know if I need to provide more information.
      Best,
      Pierre

      Hi there!
I'd love to have some social media buttons in my navbar like my online-shop has!

Can someone explain me how to create them? I tried a lot but don't know how to realize them...

Hi guys. Just now trying out Platform 5. I like the reletive simplcity of the new interface but there are things I'm used to in DMS that I'm not seeing yet in 5. Is there a good manual, documentation, video series about some of the basics?
In particular, I've got a simple navigation menu, created the standard way in WP menus section with several top level parents, then 3-4 children menu items below a couple parent items. Have them moved to the right to create the standard parent-child relationship but all I see on the page is the parent level items - no dropdown!. So I changed themes from Platform5 to the standard 2015 default theme and now I see absolutely no menu at top, except for the mobile (hamburger?) icon.
In DMS, one had Navi and Navbar, etc sections and each would work differently and give different results. How do you work the menu system in 5? And how get different results ?
      thanks
