theterribletwos 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2010 I notice that my website loads slowly, and was wondering how one goes about optimizing a website. This question may be out of the purview of this forum, but I thought I'd ask. Here's the website: www.theterribletwos.com
catrina 103 Report post Posted November 21, 2010 Here are some things to make note of: -Image Formats: If you have a lot of graphics on your site, it'd be helpful to use graphics that have a smaller file size (converting images into .JPGs can reduce image sizes). If you have Photoshop, you can optimize images for the web. -Page Sizing: You might want to consider displaying 3 posts at a time as opposed to 5 posts on the main blog page. -Image Dimensions: If you don't mind resizing an image so that it does not cover the full width of the post, then you can probably reduce it to half or 3/4ths of its size. (It also helps to resize it before uploading) There are many more ways to optimize your site. The ones I mentioned are just a few. Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to. Designer | Catrina Dulay Founder | Catrina and Mouse
