Hiding sidebar on home page only

Recommended Posts

web_projectsmaccom

I need to hide the main sidebar on the home page. If I set the sidebar to "hide on post pages", the sidebar is hidden, but the sidebar container is still there, leaving a blank space. Is there a way to remove the sidebar column on the home page?

Hello, Go to Template Settings and select "Posts Page" from the dropdown menu. Drag the sidebar (the Universal Sidebar) from the left section to the right section to disable it.

The better way is going to the homepage and checking Hide Primary Sidebar from Pagelines Section Control. This way the saidebar disappears only on that page not anywhere else.

Sourena, You say "go to the homepage"... but there is no such a page, as the home page is created by WP, so I can't set this up, unless I create a page called Home and them set in WP settings to use that page as home. But that will defeat the purpose of using the template sections no?
