Change size of text in components

Recommended Posts

Moonbus

I wish to be able to change size of texts in components as for example "Masthead" and assume that some kind of CSS-code is needed but still I haven't figured out how to work with that even if I now I crashed course the basic on Youtube clips. The info I find in the documentation is still a bit over my head so I will be thankful to get some kind of very obvious and concrete example on exact what to do. Thanks in advance!

Hi Moonbus

Please, you can take a look to this as an example

http://docs.pagelines.com/tutorials/section-area-styling

Also, I copy a Danny´s reply

In order to gain an understanding of CSS i would start at the beginning and read about css selectors http://www.w3schools...s_selectors.asp

I heartily recommend the resources at http://www.w3schools.com/

To get to grips with CSS also try one of the free online courses

Thanks!
I discovered after a while a thing that is SUPER SIMPLE when you know it and of MAJOR IMPORTANCE  but still  - what I have seen - is missed out to be explained anywhere; is that the fields where you put the texts for the module boxes are sensitive to code for example header tags as <h3> TEXT </h3>  for example.
I really think the DMS interface should be equipped with tip och help buttons (possible to turn off / on ) on this kind of simple things that are obvious when you know it but can take ages to figure it out if you of some reason are not familiar with a certain way of how these things are set up to work. Pagelines DMS looks very "user friendly" at first glance but could be much better with an overhaul with user friendliness as goal.

I have now browsed trough docs.pagelines.com but so far I cant find out what some parts of the control panels really do. What is the difference between Custom Styling Classes and Inline CSS Styling?

Danny

The Custom Styling classes field adds classes to the parent element which you can use to add different styles to. For example:

If you add the following rule to your custom CSS/LESS:

.red-text { color: red; }

Then add the class name to the styling classes field:

red-text

Most sections will then inherit red text, unless those sections have additional styling.

In-regards to the inline styling field, this simply is used to inline styling. If you're unsure as to what inline styling is, see this article - http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_css.asp

      Hi
      I have a map here http://www.iloveoffset.com/maps/
I want to add several pointer locations to the map, but when I do they do not appear.
On this map there are 2 pointer locations and as you can there is only one visible.
Earlier today I added 7 and could only see 4 so there is something odd going on.
My theme is up to date

      Hello,
I've been having trouble unlocking the template section for past couple of weeks. When I try clicking nothing happens.
I've deleted my custom css and removed plugins. Im down to having only the following plugins:
      Akismet
      Contact Form 7
      DMS Professional Tools
      Pagelines Updater
      WooCommerce
It was working fine before i have no idea what's going on with it.

My DMS 2 site http://www.heart-stone.com/ will not save any new custom css... I can still edit templates and publish those but any custom css that I enter never saves.
All WP files, themes, and plugins are up to date.
Any thought about what might be causing this?

Is there a way to edit the custom CSS via FTP? I know I can edit the custom code in the Chrome editor but is there a file path I can use to find and edit the CSS directly from our FTP?
Thanks in advance for the help!

All fine in desktop viewport. Menu displays twice in hamburger mode. How to fix this please?
