Have postloop on two pages

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm playing around with the pageline framework and was wondering if it is possible to show posts on two different pages. I have set "latest posts" as my front page, which first shows an image slider, then my recent tweets, and then the blog posts. Now, as the slider and the tweets already take up quite some space, I'd like to create an additional page called "Blog" on which I would like to show the postloop with a sidebar or two.

As far as I understand, WP itself limits me here. Does the pageline framework have any feature, plugin, widget or something to display the last 5 posts decently styled (i.e. magazine style with the first one displayed full width)? I know there is another plugin called "Show Recent Posts", but that of course doesn't fit into the pagelines CSS.

thanks & best regards,

Klayman

HI Klayman,

You can not have two blogs, i.e. you can not have your homepage act as a blog and then create a new page called blog and have that act as a blog too. You can only have one blog with WordPress. The only way for you to display your posts on your homepage and have a page called blog would be to use static pages and a plugin such as MiniLoops to display your posts on your static homepage.

For more information on static page options see here - http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page

Here is a link to the MiniLoops plugin - https://wordpress.org/plugins/mini-loops/
