Ya, we might need more clarification on the issue. ALso for BBPress stuff their forum might be a better place to get help (http://bbpress.org/forums/ ??” they do this all day every day) We do want to help though. If you have deep integration running as intended, then activate StationPro 2.1.x and the forum theme; it should work seamlessly.

Hello ha, Been a few days but have had stacks of things to do and things just keep flying at me from all angles!!! and have tattoo to design aswell so grrr im just so busy. Managed to fix the forum issue and get it to appear, ive had to change the permalinks in wordpress to link to the right page but what I am having is say all the links to say the Admin section give page not found errors. In a follow up to your response on another post ` Are you using IE or firefox? Did you get it to find the WP header? Are you getting any PHP errors? ` Im using firefox. Got it to find the WP header and the forum works so users can get to it and login but no-one can add a topic because I get 404 page cannot be found errors. It looks to me like all the links on the page are just pointing to the wrong place. For example: `http://www.londonmuscle.com/blog/forum/?new=1` This is the link that appears when you choose to add topic but it shows 404 page not found. any ideas, have posted on the bb press forum aswell but havent had much joy getting an answer.

on the forum, we don't use permalinks for this type of reason.. too many bugs when integrating with WP.

what can I do to fix it though?? Im kinda lost now. I tried changing the root folder now and ive totally mucked it up. Is there a way I can edit where bb press looks for the root folder without getting into the cms page? is it in a particular .php file that I can edit? Thanks

bbPress looks for the root folder based on a DB entry. Get in there using phpMyAdmin (through cpanel) and change values (but make sure you remember the old ones in case you need to revert :)

are you getting 404s on all browsers? I don't know enough about the issue to figure it out... will need specifics. Also, the bbPress forum might be a better resource on this one, as they might have seen this issue before.

Hi andrew, Yea have been on the bb press forum but not getting any feedback at all I think the problem is to do with the server that hosts it.Its a windows based server, spoke to my bro, a Mac and linux geek and he reckons this is the case because it is as if the server doesnt understand the *.php files and how to navigate around the site. Apparently this is common, it may require a complete re-coding of the bb-press install or a change of settings on the server. We shall see what happens.......

Hey Chris, sorry to hear about that... I don't think there should be anything major, but most developers plan on Windows servers :) As always, we want you to be successful.. so let us know when you have additional info.

Hi guys, As an update im still working on the forum issue with the pages not navigating at all etc Also wondered has anyone had any problems with plugin installs? ive installed or rather uploaded all of the plugins that came with the forum theme but I cannot seem to activate both "bbpress polls and bbpress signatures" they just say installation failed please try again....... Any ideas or do you think it might be linked to my current problem? Regards, Chris

haven't seen that one personally, I'd start by deleting the files and re-uploading.

Tried that and never worked either lol Dunno whats going on here. It just doesnt want to navigate between certain bits, you can view the page `http://www.londonmuscle.com/forum/index.php` and navigate through the subjects and forums but you cant post on them because it cannot find the right page somethings just not right. and my web design firm are totally useless at getting back to me about anything.

Hey LondonMuscle, I could be wrong, but it sounds like there might be a problem with where the files are located. Can I see a screenshot of your file structure on your server with all the bbpress folders expanded?

Hi there, Dont know how to post a screen shot but my files are in the same places as they were when I downloaded the BB press files. I havent moved anything just uploaded the pagelines theme to it as instructed. ` /Forum /bb-admin /bb-includes /bb-plugins /bb-templates /my-plugins /my-templates /bb-config.php /bb-config-sample.php............etc etc etc ` Im so confused with all of this. have opened the default.aspx file to have a look there and it reads this; ` require('./bb-load.php'); bb_repermalink(); $bb_db_override = false; do_action( 'bb_index.php_pre_db' ); ` Which is what I thought might have been the problem if for instance it didnt say do action bb_index.php I just cannot work it out

tried a few things and still B0110cks'd :-) Its definately to do with the deep integration step. Take deep integration out of it and it works fine but then obviously you cant use the theme unless you do this. Any suggestions to that? ps. have emailed [email protected]

Did you take at the forum installation guidelines that jeff posted? What is the problem? Still getting 404'd? Also is your forum installed within your WordPress directory?

Guys, Get the F#ck in! The issue is with the deep integration code that we are using. If you are using the latest version of Wordpress and the latest version of bbpress you may experience this issue. What seems to happen is when it loads usign the code wp-blog-header.php its like it points the whole page to that directory. So if you say click add new topic well it is then searching the directory that wp-blog-header.php is in. obviously it wont find the files needed because they arent there. Its not actually the header file that we want for the deep integration its the wordpress access and the authentication. after literally banging my head against my desk all this time I opened all of the files in my blog folder and read the code. if you enter; `require_once('.../.../.../blog/wp-blog-header.php');` Which is the exact file path so it the ... bits will be all different for you all. What this does is forces it to load the wordpress authentication bits and then the wordpress header not just the wordpress header. done that and voila! it works

Sorry guys I meant to say if you enter `require_once('../../../blog/wp-load.php'); this should be the absolute path to the wp load file. This is what causes it to load the authentication details and not just the header file. regards, Chris
