Problem with formating

Recommended Posts

I have the following problem.

1. I created two columns - mediabox on the left and text section on the right. Into the media section I have uploade a picture. Howeever, when I view the webpage in Chrome the page layout looks right, however when I view it in IE or Firefox, I can see only a big picture and no text. I looks like the text in underneath it. Could it be because the picture it too big?

I have the problem on this web page: http://vydelavejteonline.cz/mit-vliv-naucte-se-presvedcovat-a-stante-se-uspesni/premiovy-online-trenink-mit-vliv/

This is how it should look like:

This is how it look in IE and Frirefox:

Here is the media box setting:

What I do not understand that with this media box, it works perfectly:

2. I am not sure how to customize some section. E.g. iBox. I created an iBox and I would like the "iBox Text" to be bigger. However, I have no idea how to do it. Could you please help me. I want to edit just the "iBox Text"

Thank you for your help. - Jan

Hi Jan,

1. I have just this moment viewed your site in FireFox and your image in the MediaBox is working as intended. Therefore, what version of IE and FF are you viewing the error in?

2. In regards to the iBox, you can use the following CSS to adjust the font-size/color of the title.

#site .ibox-text h4 {
  font-size: 20px;

The best way to customize a section is for you to inspect it using Google Chromes dev tools. If you're new to dev tools, I highly recommend you take the Code School free interactive course here - https://www.codeschool.com/courses/discover-devtools

Danny, thank you,

1. I managed to figure it out. I had the alignment set on the left; and therefore the full size image hoover over the textbox.

Is there a way that a media box would be clickable with hyperlink? I have not found it anywhere.

If you want to have a MediaBox act as a link, you will need to use HTML code in the HTML textarea option.

So if this is in-regards to your image that you uploaded, remove it and then use HTML such as:

<a href="http://www.google.com"><img src="Link to image" alt="..."></a>

      I have a map here http://www.iloveoffset.com/maps/
I want to add several pointer locations to the map, but when I do they do not appear.
On this map there are 2 pointer locations and as you can there is only one visible.
Earlier today I added 7 and could only see 4 so there is something odd going on.
My theme is up to date

I've been having trouble unlocking the template section for past couple of weeks. When I try clicking nothing happens.
I've deleted my custom css and removed plugins. Im down to having only the following plugins:
      Contact Form 7
      DMS Professional Tools
      Pagelines Updater
It was working fine before i have no idea what's going on with it.

My DMS 2 site http://www.heart-stone.com/ will not save any new custom css... I can still edit templates and publish those but any custom css that I enter never saves.
All WP files, themes, and plugins are up to date.
Any thought about what might be causing this?

Is there a way to edit the custom CSS via FTP? I know I can edit the custom code in the Chrome editor but is there a file path I can use to find and edit the CSS directly from our FTP?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Need to place the 2 media boxes (that contain the ragged dark background for Playlist of month and Song suggestion) right under the content above that. Have a basic 2-column format for the page with sidebar widgets in narrow column to right and main content in large area left column. When I try to drag another 2-col section just under the other content, instead of what I want, a new canvas section (?) is formed into which the new 2-col is placed and this gets placed AFTER all that stuff in the narrow right column!
How does one create a format where you can have multiple columns inside a column?
I can perhaps do this manually with DIVs and float: left CSS, but that will make it very clumbsy for client then to update that content.
      Appreciate your insights, thanks
Oh, also I have to drag out a 2-col twice before one of them stays on refresh (see post from the other day "2-colums inside other column - disappears on refresh? CSS not saving on refresh" - still waiting for reply on that.)
