Hi Ignacio, I recommend installing Firebug for future use as well ;) Here's the code in the CSS that needs to be altered:

	/* Text Shadows */
 #feature-footer, #grandchildnav li a, #grandchildnav .current_page_item ul li a, #buddypress-page #object-nav ul li a{ text-shadow: #fff 0 1px 0; }

 .fixed_width #footer{ text-shadow: #000 0 -1px 0; }

So, copy that into your current CSS (either base.css or Custom Code->Custom CSS) and edit it there.

Hi everyone, I added the above code in custom css changing -1px to -px but It doesn't update on my site! Any ideas where I'm going wrong? Using a full width side bar as my footer. http://hibbslupustrust.org Thanks!
#footer, .fixed_width #footer { text-shadow: 0; }
...should work for you.

Have you thought of making the shadow color the same color as the background? That way the shadow will vanish into the background.

I hadn't. I'm a novice so if you can advise that would help!

You find the shadow color located in Design Control and you also find the background color there. Make a note of the background color, something like #333333 and copy it with the # mark to the area that asks for the footer text shadow. That will make the two colors the same.
