Rename tricks for security reasons

Recommended Posts

Chris Coyier suggests in his ebook "Digging into wordpress" - for security reasons - during wordpress setup - you should rename the folder "wordpress" to an uncommon and strange name. Afterwards change in the index.php file

require('./wp-blog-header.php')
to
require('./your-personal-uncommon-and-strange-name/wp-blog-header.php')

Do you recommend this method (- for the use of the pagelines theme)?

Many people suggest removing WordPress references because hackers tend to like WordPress. It couldn't hurt.
