Sazaria

media in firefox

Sazaria

Hello-

When clicking on the media on my website to enlarge it in firefox, it comes back with a jumbled mess of an image. For example, go to:

http://www.thecosmicpath.com/category/daily-weather/

In firefox.

If you click on any of the white images, the cosmic charts, to expand them you get this:

http://www.thecosmicpath.com/wp-content/uploads/9-6-14.jpg?5276e5

**Further clarification I found is that the images when viewed in Firefox enlarged show up as Java.

Please advise.

Kim

Please clear the totally disable the cache plugin you have activated.

The *code* you are seeing isn't java, thats the actual image shown in the browser. The problem is your server isnt telling firefox to download it. The image MIME type is text/plain**

This can be one of 2 reasons...

1. The servers MIME types are misconfigured.

2. You have messed up the settings in the cache plugin.

Update: we made some progress fixing the mime script in the .htaccess folder. Now there is another issue.

see this screen shot here (this happens in firefox rather randomly):

My server said this:

"it looks like it's an issue with your pagelines plugin not regenerating the compiled CSS files"

**to specify, my server is referencing the pagelines updater plugin

Can you goto DMS Toolbar > Site Settings > Reset and click the Flush Caches please and see if this resolves your issue.

Please search our forums, before posting!

Danny we disabled our cache plugin for now, as that resolved this issue but I will keep this trick filed away in the event we reactivate the cache plugn. Does DMS have a specific caching program you might say it is most compatible with? Also any other caching documentary from DMS that might be of assistance?

thanks

both w3 cache and wp super cache work perfectly fine with DMS.

The fact there is 200+ settings for w3 cache is where people make a mess of it ;)
