Masonic Header Nav Inline List - how to customize?

Recommended Posts

Michael_J

Hi.  The Masonic Header has an inline Nav List that automatically uses all of the Categories from WP.  I'd like to specifically exclude some. Is there a way?  I can delete some in Firefox but not sure how to do that in code.

Thanks for any pointers. I'm a layman.

Site is http://qamera.com, fwiw

Hi,

Try using the following:

/* removes the blog link /*
[data-filter=".words"] {
  display: none !important;
}
/* removes the people link /*
[data-filter=".people"] {
  display: none !important;
}

/* removes the places link /*
[data-filter=".places"] {
display: none !important;
}

/* removes the things link /*
[data-filter=".things"] {
display: none !important;
}

Hi Danny,

This technique works great however there is still some space where the excluded items of the Nav list would be.

Interestingly the space is far less than the text that would take up the space if not excluded.

Please check out this URL so you can see what I am talking about http://acoustica.com.au/draft/commercial-products/

I have tried max-width:0% !important; visibility:hidden !important; but to no avail.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Try adding this to your custom CSS:

This may look odd on mobile devices and therefore, you may need to use media queries to alter it. Please be aware that if you do indeed have issues, this isn't something we can assist with and is it custom code.

Great, thanks Danny - Worked a treat and can apply media queries where needed.

Cheers

      I have three items in my Masonic section. I would like them to center on the page. Here is the page on my staging site. What is the CSS code to do this? I don't see another option to handle this.
      Thank you.

      Please tell me how to remove the date on hover from the Masonic section. The dummy for this page is here.
      An older post here showed the following for it (below) but it does not work (anymore?).
      #site .pl-center-cell .metabar { display: none; } Thank you.

      Hi there, the Filter By option within the Masonic section isn't working when a custom post type and custom category is selected.  If you swap to normal posts and categories then it works but sadly not with custom post types and custom categories.
      All posts are shown but when you click on the categories all posts disappear even though posts do have these categories. When you click All all the posts come back. I've tried this on two different websites with the same result.
      Many thanks in advance.

      Hi
      I have a map here http://www.iloveoffset.com/maps/
      I want to add several pointer locations to the map, but when I do they do not appear.
      On this map there are 2 pointer locations and as you can there is only one visible.
      Earlier today I added 7 and could only see 4 so there is something odd going on.
      My theme is up to date
