How to edit the responsive breakpoint

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how to edit the responsive breakpoint?

I assume it is in the CSS, but i don't know where to start looking.

I again assume that i would then add this to my child theme .css file?

Thank you.

If you want to edit any of the responsive values in DMS, the simplest method would be to use a child theme. From there, you can create a less directory and add any of the .less files in DMS and override them.

If you download my advanced skeleton child theme, there is already a less directory created for you with the variables.less file.

Once installed, look in the DMS less directory and copy over any of the files you wish to edit, the one you're likely going to need to add and then edit is the responsive.less file.

Thanks Danny.

I took a quick look and to say i am confuse would be an understatement :-)

What i really want to do is edit when the menu changes to the responsive [MENU] toggle.

I would like it to show the toggle sooner than it currently does if than makes sense?

Where do i edit that?

If you want to adjust when the responsive menu toggle (hamburger icon) appears, you will need to edit that sections style.less file and replace the default width or in some cases variable with your own width.

For the Navbar section, you're going to have to create a child of that section, then open up the style.less file and on line: 409 replace the following:

@media (max-width: @resPortraitTablet){

with your own value (width) or use the variables in variables.less file. You will want to do the same for Navi and so forth.

      I have a map here http://www.iloveoffset.com/maps/
I want to add several pointer locations to the map, but when I do they do not appear.
On this map there are 2 pointer locations and as you can there is only one visible.
Earlier today I added 7 and could only see 4 so there is something odd going on.
My theme is up to date

I've been having trouble unlocking the template section for past couple of weeks. When I try clicking nothing happens.
I've deleted my custom css and removed plugins. Im down to having only the following plugins:
      Contact Form 7
      DMS Professional Tools
      Pagelines Updater
It was working fine before i have no idea what's going on with it.

My DMS 2 site http://www.heart-stone.com/ will not save any new custom css... I can still edit templates and publish those but any custom css that I enter never saves.
All WP files, themes, and plugins are up to date.
Any thought about what might be causing this?

Is there a way to edit the custom CSS via FTP? I know I can edit the custom code in the Chrome editor but is there a file path I can use to find and edit the CSS directly from our FTP?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Using navbar section with correctly configured WP menu to display main navigation at https://elenaangel.com.
All fine in desktop viewport. Menu displays twice in hamburger mode. How to fix this please?
