Addition to top fixed nav

Recommended Posts

tcuzzo

I am trying to add a phone number to the top right fixed nav area.

I have tried to add as a back ground but it seems to stretch it full width.

Here is my site:  http://upsystem.azurewebsites.net/

I would also like to add anchors to the page so I can incorporate a dropdown menu to take it to different parts of the page.  Making it a one page site.

Assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

HI tcuzzo

In order to add the telephone number, you will need to use a hook.

For more information on hooks see our documentation

http://docs.pageline.../advanced/hooks

Also, see as how you only want this on to appear on the homepage, you will need to use the WordPress conditional in your hook too http://codex.wordpre...ference/is_home

To add anchors, please you take a look to this

http://forum.pagelines.com/topic/35341-new-anchors-not-working/?hl=anchors

HI,

Before we can assist you, you're going to need to update to the latest version of DMS. As the version you're using is nearly one year old and therefore, out of date. Please before a backup just as a precaution before proceeding with the update.

I'm not the most savvy....Could anyone explain the hooks to me in more detail?

What would I add, where?

You can find more information regarding hooks in our documentation here - http://docs.pagelines.com/advanced/hooks

Due to hooks being considered an advanced customization, we do not provide support. So if you're not comfortable doing hooks yourself, you could just add MediaBoxes to your Fixed Template Area and use HTML for a logo image and HTML for your contact details.

Something like this:

<div class="row">

  <div class="span6">

    <a class="" href="">

      <img src="" alt="">

    </a>

  </div>

  <div class="span6">

    Add contact details here

  </div>

</div>
