Googlebot Crawl Results and Content Order

Recommended Posts

When Googlebot crawls my website, the main content of the page is the last thing to show up on the map. The nav bar links and all of their drop downs show up first and they show up twice. Then the primary sidebar links and then the main content. My assumption is that for ranking, it's better to have content show up higher. Is this true? If this is the case, is there a way to change the structure so that Googlebot deprioritizes the sidebar over content? The website is www.chetson.com.

I'm not talking about prioritizing the index, it's about the about prioritizing the information on the particular pages. Content should be prioritized over sidebar links for example. Also, this does not address the fact that the navbar links are showing up twice in the bot results.

How are you verifying the order in which the Googlebot see your sites content and also, are you using any SEO plugins ? If you provide more information, I can run a test myself.
