Mobile Nav Icon

Okay, I am trying to find out where the icon file for the mobile nav is located. I didn't know if it was a web font or if it was a .svg located somewhere in the theme files.

Basically what I am trying to do is change the hamburger icon to the icon AND the word "menu." I was thinking the easiest thing to do was to just edit the icon, but if the icon is apart of the font file, then it becomes sticky.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks- Jacob

Hi Jacob,

Unfortunately, the hamburger icon is coming from a core file and isn't part of any of the navigation sections. Therefore, to replace the icon, you're will need to edit a core file, which is something we do not recommend nor support.

I will create a ticket on our tracker, asking if it is possible to include an option to change the icon to something else and/or use just text.

Thanks, Danny.

If anyone else knows a way to get a similar type of nav with a customized icon, let me know.

Is there an easy way to make the hamburger icon bigger? It's pretty tiny and some of my clients have a hard time hitting it (or even seeing it) on their mobile devices.  I also would love to have the option to add the word "Menu" beside the icon.

lwarren1500 - If you want to increase the size of the hamburger icon, you will need to use custom CSS. Try this (off the top of my head, not tested):

.menu-toggle .icon-reorder {
  font-size: 24px; /* change the value to your liking */
}

      Should be a simple answer but not sure why its not doing this.  I have a child theme installed on pagelines 5 that has a hook so it will write over the theme css. Strange is that when I am on the frontend the code works but in the dashboard your theme takes over my code and its no where to be found. See examples attachments

      Hi,

      I have been using DMS and pagelines.
      I am facing to a huge trouble with the appearance of one of my page on mobile (smart phones) built with pagelines.
      However I haven’t come to any solutions to organise either edit the appearance of mobile view to look neat or deactivate the responsive function.
      Now it looks totally messy on the phone...

      1. Is there any way to edit the appearance of the mobile version (responsive theme)?
      2. Is there any way to deactivate responsive function?

      If I could receive support from you to go thorough this process I would be happy to be a pro member.

      Looking forward to hearing from you.

      This just happened to a site I'm working on. When I decrease width of browser to check for responsiveness...the pagelines content section is not responding???

      While building my website, I set a padding of 5%, 25%, 5%, 25% so the text on the pages is not too wide.
      However, it looks crappy on mobile.
      How do I get the same effect and still have it look good on mobile?

      http://731.34b.myftpupload.com/ this website is using the NavPro navigation in Platform 5. It has a lot of menu items, so it breaks to two lines when the window is sized down. What is the media query to make the navigation either a) switch to "mobile mode" at a higher width, or b ) expand the nav into two lines. Thanks
