PL Next box Issue when resizing window

Recommended Posts

jmad

I'm using PLNextBox on a couple of sites to hold the site logo (can media box link).  Anyway, I have the NextBox in a fixed header and when you shrink the width of the window and drag to resize a white space appears below the fixed area.  I tested, deactivated plugins, cleared CSS and it turns out its PLNext causing the issue, I think.

You can see it happen on 24-7Exteriorcleaning dot com.  You can reliably make it happen by going from a large sized window to nearly phone sized, clicking on a different page and then back on home...then make the window larger again.

I would like to us the NEXTbox for padding reasons.

Could someone take a look and hopefully resolve this quickly.

Tried text box using and it removed padding but the white space returned.

/*logo resize*/
#boxID .pl-section-pad.fix{
  padding: 0px;
}

Also tried a media box and text box in the fixed area without any changes in padding and it happened with both.  If only simple nav is there it works fine.

Looks like the fixed-top-pusher isn't resizing.  I tried some CSS to resolve but didn't get it resolved.  Suggestions?

Hi,

I have resized by window from full screen to the thinest it can go and I am unable to see any white space appear?

Right, minimizing doesn't create the issue.  The instructions I provided in the original post should or at least have been recreating the issue for me.

Yeah thats happening because of what you're doing, it isn't a bug. All your doing is tricking the browser to think its set to a mobile device screen width, then you click on a new page and so the fixer is set to that height. So resizing the screen upon a new page load, it still thinks it's set to a browser width. This will happen when you do what you're doing.

That doesn't make sense to me.  Especially when if I remove the text/next/media box the section works fine.  Also it doesn't happen with just a menu like Navi up there.

I was wrong.  This can happen without a PLNext box.  Could you guys look at this issue and see if it can be resolved?  Users are going to view in smaller window and click on other pages.  So having a space appear below the navigation doesn't seem like the correct way for this to work and certainly not very elegant.

Suggestions on how to fix this?  I don't think this should be happening.

So I've tried to correct this via CSS but I guess it's not possible?  I've looked at other themes where the menu or other options are fixed and there is no issue like this.

You are saying that this is how this is supposed to work?  If so, basically the Fixed area of DMS isn't good for anything but Navi or Navbar.  SimpleNav won't work there.  Come on there is got to be a fix for this.

Thanks.  In the meantime how would I have a fixed section at the top like the one in the site but not have the designed changed when a different page is selected?

      Hi
      I have a map here http://www.iloveoffset.com/maps/
      I want to add several pointer locations to the map, but when I do they do not appear.
      On this map there are 2 pointer locations and as you can there is only one visible.
      Earlier today I added 7 and could only see 4 so there is something odd going on.
      My theme is up to date

      Hello,
      I've been having trouble unlocking the template section for past couple of weeks. When I try clicking nothing happens.
      I've deleted my custom css and removed plugins. Im down to having only the following plugins:
      Akismet
      Contact Form 7
      DMS Professional Tools
      Pagelines Updater
      WooCommerce
      It was working fine before i have no idea what's going on with it.

      My DMS 2 site http://www.heart-stone.com/ will not save any new custom css... I can still edit templates and publish those but any custom css that I enter never saves.
      All WP files, themes, and plugins are up to date.
      Any thought about what might be causing this?

      Is there a way to edit the custom CSS via FTP? I know I can edit the custom code in the Chrome editor but is there a file path I can use to find and edit the CSS directly from our FTP?
      Thanks in advance for the help!

      All fine in desktop viewport. Menu displays twice in hamburger mode. How to fix this please?
