How to add social media buttons in Header

4 posts in this topic

I have been trying for hours to get my social media buttons to appear in my header with installing custom widgets, yet they are not exactly what I have in mind.

I would like it to just have the social media buttons all line up right next to my banner like it does in DMS. I am really lost on child pages and how to input custom code into pagelines. I am really just looking for a article that will help me out or a youtube video.

*Disclaimer my website does need a lot of work I am learning all of this as I go.*

I wrote a guide on how you can use DMS to create a Branding area, using nothing more than the included sections along with some basic HTML and CSS. You can find the guide here -

Hi Danny,

I did stumble across this article but if I am using just the free version can I still use this? And if I am using the free version of Pagelines is there anyway I can do it.

Thank you for your time.

I am unable to activate Pagelines with my License key. All plugins and Wordpress are up to date. Says the url and key don't exist, but I am using what's on file in our Pagelines Account. Can't make any changes on the front end.

Nothing is saving on our websites, our Key is no longer registering, emails have gone unanswered.  The DMS theme seems to be overall malfunctioning.   I just want it to work like it worked last week again please. Also, based on our your website is looking, it's also falling apart. Please Advise ASAP!  Our clients have a much shorter temper with us, because we actually offer a way to contact us.  We have reinstalled the latest theme over and over.

I keep getting this error :

I have looked at a lot of resolved issues on these forums and nothing has been able to work.
My changes are not saved after i hit publish and refresh, all the changes I've made disappear.
Also i am not able to add backgrounds or any images to the entire site, Rivslider, Quickslider, etc.
    • Remove or reduce margin (or padding) in header
      By richardjacruz+
      I'm building a site at:
and I followed the instructions on building a "branding" area in the header:
But, if you see the image I've attached, you'll see that there's a lot of space between the nav and the slider. Is this something I need to control with CSS in the Custom code section, or is there something else I can do that's part of the header section?

Actually, what would also be nice is if I could put a divider line there... like an orange or a light gray.
