Recommended Posts

Please help, I have just upgraded everything and the website is now not showing correctly in IE8 now.

The website works fine on all other browsers. If I click on compatibility mode, it does not change anything. The header background is not showing and alot of the styling below.

Here is my custom code:

body{    font-size:13px !important; line-height:20px !important;

#morefoot_area { background-image: url(http://www.elmstar.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/footer.png);
background-position:center top;
    font-size: 12px;

#morefoot_area a, #morefoot_area li h5 a {color: white;}

#quickslider {background: #DDDDDD;
  font-size: 12px;
padding: 2px;

#footer {background: #3B412E;
  font-size: 12px;
color: #FFFFFF;

h3.widget-title {
color: #000000;
font-weight: bold;
margin: -10px -10px 0 -10px;
padding: 20px;
text-align: left;

.dropdown-menu li > a:hover, .dropdown-menu li > a:focus, .dropdown-submenu:hover > a, .dropdown-menu li.current-menu-item > a {
background-color: #4DB848;
background-image: none;
background-repeat: repeat-x;}

.products li a img {
    border: 1px solid #DDDDDD;
    display: block;
    height: 150px !important;
    margin: 0 0 8px !important;
    width: 150px !important;

Was your site running fine in IE8 before you updated ?

What product and version did you use before upgrading?

What version have you upgraded too ?

Can you provide a screenshot of what your site looks like in IE8 and also provide a link to the site in question, disable all active plugins including the maintenance plugin please.

Please search our forums, before posting!
