revslider video file types?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm trying to put a video background in my revslider slide. It asks for two file types. I'm using an mpeg4, which shows up in Explorer, but I don't have an ogg file. What other file types might work here?

thanks!

George

Hi gcmprior

You can read

Different browsers have different ways of handling html5 videos.
At the time of testing the best way to get cross browser support is to use an mp4 AND an ogv file.
mp4 = MPEG 4 files with H264 video codec and AAC audio
ogv = Ogg files with Theora video codec and Vorbis audio

The Firefox need the ogg file, you need this, there are not other files type work on this.

You have this to convert mp4 to ogg

I use the trial versión on my Mac
