How to change font size of item title - again...

Dear Ellen, I am trying to implement a solution you kindly gave me for a problem a few months ago: Changing the font size of an item title in Filtering. At the time I was just missing a selector (http://forum.pagelines.com/topic/32686-change-font-size-of-item-title/?hl=filtering#entry194033). Your suggestion to add h4 as the title was wrapped in that worked at the time:

.section-filtering .filtering .item .item-title h4 {
font-size: 80%;
}

But now I cannot get it to work, whatever I try. I can change the font size in Chrome Inspect Element, but when I put the same selectors and qualities into DMS Custom CSS, nothing changes. I can address every other aspect, the image, the excerpt, the alignment of the title, but not its font size.

Have you got an idea where I might be going wrong? Was there a change in one of the updates? It's more likely to be me, I am still a good way away from CSS mastery...

Here is the instance, with large title font: http://animatinglibraries.com/wordpress/?page_id=35

I am grateful for your help. Filtering is still brilliant, by the way!

Yours faithfully, Jan.

Hi caspersjan

I use

/* TAMAÑO TEXTO FILTERING */
.h4-texto-filtering h4{ font-size: 16px;}

This work fine to me, and I love the Filtering too...

Hello Batman, thank you for your reply and suggestion. Unfortunately, .h4-texto-filtering h4{ font-size: 16px;} does not work on my site.I tried it on its own:

.h4-texto-filtering h4{ font-size: 16px;}

and where the old solution worked:

.section-filtering .filtering .item .item-title .h4-texto-filtering h4{ font-size: 16px;}

But no luck so far.  It's a mystery... But surely one that can be solved. Thanks again, greetings, Jan.

Batman, you are indeed a knight in shining armour! It's working now, the !important must have done the trick. Thank you so much for taking the time to help a stranger. The librarians will be delighted - now even the long names will fit! Yours faithfully, Jan.

      Hi,
      I'm currently using the Filtering plugin on a website that is not yet live (http://www.RetroLeaders.com/ - currently hidden by a "Coming Soon" plugin) however after updating to the most recent version of Wordpress and DMS the Filtering plugin has stopped working and is causing DMS to display the never ending load icon.
      Inspecting the code for errors I see the following problems:
      . jquery.isotope.min.js?ver=1.7.4:11 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'opera' of undefined (anonymous function) @ jquery.isotope.min.js?ver=1.7.4:11 (anonymous function) @ jquery.isotope.min.js?ver=1.7.4:11 (index):66 Uncaught TypeError: mycontainer.isotope is not a function (anonymous function) @ (index):66 jQuery.Callbacks.fire @ jquery.js?ver=1.11.2:3143 jQuery.Callbacks.self.fireWith @ jquery.js?ver=1.11.2:3255 jQuery.extend.ready @ jquery.js?ver=1.11.2:3467 completed @ jquery.js?ver=1.11.2:3498
        Can you please check if everything is working properly and provide an update if necessary? The filtering function is a crucial part of my web design and we cannot go live without it!
      Please let me know what you find.
      Best,
      - Josiah

      I just purchased the DMS framework and the Sophistique child theme. I am needing help with setting the content or body font size... the content in a blog post only.

      I have the global font size set to 18px and then I have this custom code in the custom css area

      body{ font-size:22px !important;}

      but this code also changes the font size of the Sophistique contact bar... which I do not want. Anyone know the code to only change the font size in the blog post content area only?

      Or vice versa, I could set the global font to 22px and then use custom code for the contact bar font in custom css.

      I've tried to use the chrome developer tools to figure this out to no avail. Thanks!

      Morning.

      I've purchased your Out of the MediaBox plugin which is great, however is there an easy way of setting the font size in the headings without going through masses of customization?  Would be great as a drop down in a future revisions...... but for now, how do I do this?

      Thanks very muchy in advance.

      Ellen,

      What version number is the latest for the Filtering section?  I have version 1.6 and hope that I'm up-to-date.  If there's a new version, how do I get the latest update and do I have to pay again?

      Thanks,

      Hello,
      I have purchased BigText DMS some time ago and would like to use it for Section headings (so they stay on the same line when the screen size is reduced). Thus on every page I have the section deployed three or four times, always with a single line only. The width (i.e. character count) of each line differs, of course. Is it possible to set a global font size? At the moment I have to guess which width results in the correct font size and insert empty space before and after the text accordingly. This is imprecise and inconvenient, but I have not been able to find another way. Would there be one? Could I address all BigText sections in CSS and control the font size with a percentage? Of course the font size changes with screen size. What I am trying to achieve is that all instances of BigText change uniformly, from the same size to the same size. Would that be possible? Or am I looking for something the section was not built for?
      I appreciate your advice and instruction on this matter. Yours faithfully, Jan Caspers.
