Scrolling in Custom CSS doesn't work properly in page editor

Recommended Posts

andylemay

Hi,

For some reason on my mac there is a problem with scrolling the Custom CSS editing window in the pagelines WYSIWIG editor with my Apple mouse and sometimes with the mac's trackpad.  This is a problem on  other mac's too. The scrolling works downwards but sometimes doesn't work upwards and sometimes doesn't work at all.

Doesn't sound like a pageslines issue...yes.  Well in the "Pagelines DMS settings" in the normal admin there is a CSS editor and that works fine with either mouse.  So it appears to be in the implementation of the editor in the WYSIWIG editor.

Also, please can we have an expandable size window for editing CSS.  This window is far to small.

Thanks

Andy

Hi andylemay

Yes, sometimes this happens to me too.

I don´t use the Custom CSS, I use the Child because I read this before update the theme

Please Note: Any customizations you have made to theme files will be lost. Please consider using child themes for modifications.

I use for this a Danny´s Child Theme, this works fine to me in all update.

You can install the .zip like a theme in your dashboard > themes > upload

and the copy/paste yours CSS rules in the style.css

This has been mentioned before, but I have tried on both my Macbook Pro and iMac and not once encounter this scrolling issue. I also tried with a Trackpad, Apple mouse and two Razer mouses, never had any problem scrolling up or down in the CSS/LESS editor.

The one in wordpress admin/pagelines is fine.  But the one in the WYSIWYG editor is the one with the problem.  Weirdly the trackpad seems to work better than the mouse!

Can we have this as an expandable box like other wordpress boxes?  It's tricky editing the stylesheet with such a small window here.

Thanks Andy

What WYSIWYG editor are you referring to, the WordPress post/page editor or DMS CSS/LESS editor. As I was talking about the DMS CSS/LESS editor, a number of users have reported this problem, but I have been able to see it or personally experience this issue. If I scroll up or down, it is a smooth experience that you would expect, I haven't encountered any weird scrolling effect.

Would it be possible to use this app and record the issue - http://quickcast.io/

Hi Danny,

I could record it but you don't see much just the lack of scrolling back up and some times in both directions.  Si i'm not sure recording it would work that well.

Yes I was referring to the DMS CSS/LESS editor.

Thanks

      Hi
      I have a map here http://www.iloveoffset.com/maps/
I want to add several pointer locations to the map, but when I do they do not appear.
On this map there are 2 pointer locations and as you can there is only one visible.
Earlier today I added 7 and could only see 4 so there is something odd going on.
My theme is up to date

      Hello,
I've been having trouble unlocking the template section for past couple of weeks. When I try clicking nothing happens.
I've deleted my custom css and removed plugins. Im down to having only the following plugins:
      Akismet
      Contact Form 7
      DMS Professional Tools
      Pagelines Updater
      WooCommerce
It was working fine before i have no idea what's going on with it.

My DMS 2 site http://www.heart-stone.com/ will not save any new custom css... I can still edit templates and publish those but any custom css that I enter never saves.
All WP files, themes, and plugins are up to date.
Any thought about what might be causing this?

Is there a way to edit the custom CSS via FTP? I know I can edit the custom code in the Chrome editor but is there a file path I can use to find and edit the CSS directly from our FTP?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Using navbar section with correctly configured WP menu to display main navigation at https://elenaangel.com.
All fine in desktop viewport. Menu displays twice in hamburger mode. How to fix this please?
