Migrated site DMS not working

Hi Pagelines,

 

I was working on  a temporary site at www.fibertough.com/inprogress and I finished. Then I got the site migrated to the root domain www.fibertough.com, It looks fine and migrated fine.

 

The problem that I am having is that when I log into Pagelines on the new site, it does not work. It is giving me weird formatting. Is that because my Pagelines subscription allows only one site? Thanks,

HI,

 

Try disabling all active plugins and see if that resolves your issue. As you have a cache plugin installed, we do not actually provide support whilst cache plugins are active, as these usually cause of sorts of issues.

I tried deactivating all the plugins and I still have the same issue. The ubermenu is not working all the formatting is different. I tried incognito mode in google chrome and still having the same issue.

 

I know the pagelines membership that I have covers only one site, Could that be the issue, If so how do I disable Pagelines in the old site and activate it in the new one?

The funny thing is that the new site looks fine if I do not log in to wordpress. but once I log in the formatting all changes.

You still have the cache plugin active, please keep all plugins disabled until the issue has been resolved. You should not have a cache plugin active at all, until your site has been finalised.

 

Can you enable DMS Debug mode please ~ DMS Toolbar > Settings > Advanced.

HI Danny,

 

I resolved the issue, it was strange that when the site migrated over some of the setting where missing. I had to activate some plugins and deactivate some plugins that did not work. I also had to re upload images that were not displaying properly. 

 

I enabled Debug mode for you. I am curious of what you will find, Thanks Danny.

To reiterate what Danny has already said regarding hr caching plugin, it is likely this was the cause of your issue. Cache plugins should not be used until your site is completely finished. 


The answer to many issues can be found by searching in the forum before posting as someone else  may very well have had the same problem before you have.  Also, reading the documentation can help you gain a good understanding of how everything works.

OK got that, but that was not issue. The issue was the DMS did not migrate with all the settings in tact from the old site. I deactivated the caching plugin and reactivated it and did not notice any difference either way. It is resolved now, Thanks for the help

      Hello,
      I've been having trouble unlocking the template section for past couple of weeks. When I try clicking nothing happens. 
      I've deleted my custom css and removed plugins. Im down to having only the following plugins:
      Akismet
      Contact Form 7
      DMS Professional Tools
      Pagelines Updater
      WooCommerce
      It was working fine before i have no idea what's going on with it.

      My DMS 2 site http://www.heart-stone.com/ will not save any new custom css... I can still edit templates and publish those but any custom css that I enter never saves.
      All WP files, themes, and plugins are up to date. 
      Any thought about what might be causing this?

      Is there a way to edit the custom CSS via FTP? I know I can edit the custom code in the Chrome editor but is there a file path I can use to find and edit the CSS directly from our FTP?

      Using navbar section with correctly configured WP menu to display main navigation at https://elenaangel.com. 
      All fine in desktop viewport. Menu displays twice in hamburger mode. How to fix this please?
