404 error on login

Recommended Posts

travistsickle

I'm getting a 404 error on my wp login.  The techs running my server think it was an issue with my theme and wp's new update.

I have version 2.0.7 for PL

If you want us to look at the site, please turn off the caching plugin.

Is this issue now resolved?

No, it just happened again.  I'm in the middle of fixing some missing images on my site and cleared out the cache and closed the browser.  When I tried logging in again i get 404 error.

totally disable you caching plugin if you intend to make any further changes to your site.

Try clearing the cache and then totally disabling it.

page works from there.

I think most of your issues are:

1. you are hard caching your site before you even finished it.

2. you have messed up your htaccess rules

3. you have mixed www and non www rules in the wordpress settings

okay, I did turn off the cache tool.  I thought that purging it after the edits was okay but now I get that it a bad idea.

When I still goto the backend and enter my login it gives an error of a redirect loop.  I would guess that is what my issue is with the www and non-www issue I have created?

Any suggestions on how to fix it so I can get into my backend and solve it?

So I just kept trying to clear cache and login with adding the www.sicklehunter.com/wp-admin.php and disabled my cache immediately.  That worked.

      Hi
      I have a map here http://www.iloveoffset.com/maps/
I want to add several pointer locations to the map, but when I do they do not appear.
On this map there are 2 pointer locations and as you can there is only one visible.
Earlier today I added 7 and could only see 4 so there is something odd going on.
My theme is up to date

      Hello,
I've been having trouble unlocking the template section for past couple of weeks. When I try clicking nothing happens.
I've deleted my custom css and removed plugins. Im down to having only the following plugins:
      Akismet
      Contact Form 7
      DMS Professional Tools
      Pagelines Updater
      WooCommerce
It was working fine before i have no idea what's going on with it.

My DMS 2 site http://www.heart-stone.com/ will not save any new custom css... I can still edit templates and publish those but any custom css that I enter never saves.
All WP files, themes, and plugins are up to date.
Any thought about what might be causing this?

Is there a way to edit the custom CSS via FTP? I know I can edit the custom code in the Chrome editor but is there a file path I can use to find and edit the CSS directly from our FTP?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Using navbar section with correctly configured WP menu to display main navigation at https://elenaangel.com.
All fine in desktop viewport. Menu displays twice in hamburger mode. How to fix this please?
