Removing hover effect on mediabox embedded image in footer

Recommended Posts

I have a white image used as a link in a Mediabox located in my webpage footer.  The webpage is local on my computer so I can not provide a link.  On hover, the image and all other links in the footer have a light reddish color.  For the life of me I can not find where the styling class is for this hover effect.  Any ideas?  I have used Google Chrome's developer tools to inspect the element and am still not seeing the effect.

Media box doesn't have the option to include a link, are you adding the link and the image via the html box? If so then the code for the hover effect is probably within the html.

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

Yes, the following code is in the HTML box of the Mediabox:

a student organization of
<a href="http://www.law.uh.edu"><img src="http://www.hjil.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/UHLaw_tertiary_WHITE-e1399692956238.png"></a>

The hover effect seems to be the default DMS hover effect because it is used on other elements in other sections, and I can't seem to override it.  The link's normal state color is white, so I thought making the hover state white as well would essentially get rid of it since I can't just use none as the hover effect value.  To accomplish this, I put the following in the inline CSS field, but it did not function as I expected.  Isn't this the CSS to change the hover color?

a:hover {color:#ffffff;}

We are going to need a link to the site in question, so we can see first hand your issue. As I have just added your code and I get a 404 on the image URL. So I then proceeded to add my own code for adding a URL and image to a MediaBox section. When I hover the image nothing happens except for a cursor change.
