Canvas section with gif animation

Hi,

I'm new to DMS2 and had a question about the canvas section.  I'm re-building a site previously made with pagelines framework so there isn't much to show you at this point.

Is it possible to have a canvas section as the first section seen with an animated gif that repeats and fades as you scroll down?  Would I need to convert the gif to a different file type?  I would also be happy if it would be the last section at the bottom of the homepage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best,

Kelli

Yes!!!

Thanks so much for the response batman, that would be exactly what I'm looking for!

What would be the best way to achieve this?  Btw, you live in my favorite city!

Best,

Kelli

Hi there, in Batman's example you can simply add the html to insert the gif into the media box directly and save/publish.

Eg:  <img src="smiley.gif" alt="Smiley face">

HI, I have problems in page Editor to fully use platform 5.
When I choose a Wordpress content section everything is fine : my post can be clicked.
MY PROBLEM : When I choose a Platfom 5 section (like Magazine or MagX or Pins ou Loops...) and I click on my posts : nothing happens, it reboots on the home page.
      Can anybody help me please?

I'm wondering if it's possible to apply the featured image to a page's canvas area?
I would like to have the featured image in a canvas on the matching page.
      Thanks!

      Hi there,

activating "translate content on scroll" and setting a standard title in canvas area doesn't work on iPad 4 in mobile browser. Doesn't matter if using safari or chrome the page crashes!
      Maybe you know that issue?

      Hi guys,
Can you please tell me how to hide a section added to an individual product page using woocommerce? I'd like to add a canvas area above individual products (and have those areas be different for each product) but when I put the canvas up it appears the same across all products.

Right now you can hide areas on pages using their id, wondering if I can basically do the reverse and hide them on all pages except for the page with that id.

      Thanks!

      Hi again.

I'm aspiring to place an image on a page with a MediaBox, then define an HTML image map (<map>, <area> ...), then define an HTML <canvas> over it, then draw on the canvas with custom javascript.

Before I spring $25 -- is Hooker the right guy for this job?  I know you can't support custom script; I'm fine with that -- I've got it all developed and working in JSFiddle.  I just want to know if Hooker is the right (or at least a workable) way to integrate it into my DMS2 site.

      Thanks.

      /John
