pop thumbs

Hi 

 

I have a site that i am adding images to the pop thumb section but it has started to freeze on me when i try to add any more images to it, can anyone shed some light onto why this might be happening.

Also could you enable to debug for us in Site Settings > Advanced.

Did you pop a tick in the box for the debug?


The answer to many issues can be found by searching in the forum before posting as someone else  may very well have had the same problem before you have.  Also, reading the documentation can help you gain a good understanding of how everything works.

Martin Davies could be the user got version 2.0.7 before I added a hotfix for the debug page.

 

No way to tell tho as there are no html comments in the source (plugin?) and the style version file is hidden http://www.lodgewoodconservatories.co.uk/wp-content/themes/dms/style.css (plugin?)

 

Im guessing its some awesome stealth anti hack plugin at work here

I am using version 2.0.6, i still cant get the debug to work and show me the report, the only thing different i am using is cloud flare.

You're going to have to disable all active plugins, including CloudFlare and enable DMS debug mode - DMS Toolbar > Settings > Advanced. Only then can we assist you properly.

I have disabled the plugins but i still cant get the debug report to run, it just returns a blank screen.

I have also attached a list of the plugins i have been using.

 

cloud flare has been switched off 

 

Any help greatly appreciated.

Well the page is no longer showing as cached in the source code so that's better. The debug page still isn't showing though, and in that screenshot there's some plugins listed as active.


Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

Hi James i sent in that screen shot so you can see what plugins i have got active on the site, i did switch them all off and it did not make any difference. so any help in solving this would be great, as a last resort should i try and delete pop thumbs and see if that is the issue?

Can you open your wp-config.php file and find the following line:

 

define( 'WP_DEBUG', false );

 

and replace false with true.

 

Save the file and then go back to your debug page and see if there is any error printed, if there is, please copy and paste into your reply.

Hi Danny that worked here is what it gave me.

As far as I am aware that is a WooCommerce function, do you have WooCommerce installed ?

 

Also what version of DMS are you using, can you make sure you're using DMS 2.0.7 please.

Hi Danny updates DMS but it still freezes when i click on edit for the pop thumbs.

I ran the debug again and this time it has given me this report.

Can you do two things for us.

 

1. Contact our helpdesk and provide the following information.

 

* Provide a link to this topic so our staff have a reference

* Provide a link to the site in question

* Make sure all plugins are disabled

* Make sure the DMS debug is active.

2. Contact your host and ask them to upgrade your PHP to at least 5.4 or greater.

No it still freezes on pop thumbs when i click on the edit icon but everything else is working fine.

Do you know if the help desk team have had a look?

The helpdesk do not provide technical support, all they will do is provide the information I asked for, into a mods note. Which I or the other support team staff will use to view your issue.

Our helpdesk staff have left a note informing us that they disabled all active plugins and DMS is now working as intended. Therefore, is your issue now resolved?

Hi Mate thanks for coming back to me on a Sunday.

I have tried again to edit the pop thumbs but it is still freezing when i click the edit logo.

Do you think if i create you a log in on Monday would you take a look or get the helpdesk to log in and locate the issue?

      Hello,
      I've been having trouble unlocking the template section for past couple of weeks. When I try clicking nothing happens. 
      I've deleted my custom css and removed plugins. Im down to having only the following plugins:
      Akismet
      Contact Form 7
      DMS Professional Tools
      Pagelines Updater
      WooCommerce
      It was working fine before i have no idea what's going on with it.

      My DMS 2 site http://www.heart-stone.com/ will not save any new custom css... I can still edit templates and publish those but any custom css that I enter never saves.
      All WP files, themes, and plugins are up to date. 
      Any thought about what might be causing this?

      Is there a way to edit the custom CSS via FTP? I know I can edit the custom code in the Chrome editor but is there a file path I can use to find and edit the CSS directly from our FTP?

      All fine in desktop viewport. Menu displays twice in hamburger mode. How to fix this please?
