Since the upgrade, I have not been able to use media quaries in the Custom CSS/LESS area to make adjustments for different screen resolutions to be responsive. Is it just me or any of you also having trouble with this? Here is the code i put in.

  1. /* Large desktop */
  2. @media (min-width: 1200px) { ... }
  3.
  4. /* Portrait tablet to landscape and desktop */
  5. @media (min-width: 768px) and (max-width: 979px) { ... }
  6.
  7. /* Landscape phone to portrait tablet */
  8. @media (max-width: 767px) { ... }
  9.
  10. /* Landscape phones and down */
  11. @media (max-width: 480px) { ... }

HI,

There should be no issue in using Media Queries in the Custom CSS/LESS editor. However, what is the actually code you're trying to use ?

nothing yet cause i'm revamping the website. I used media queries before and there wasn't an issue. what seems to be happening is that when i enter the media queries this time around, it breaks DMS2 from loading properly. I'll try again and come back to give an update. i'll see if it fixed itself.

Let us know how you get on. If you still have problems please add the custom Code you are using here and provide the link to the paste http://forum.pagelines.com/pst/

The answer to many issues can be found by searching in the forum before posting as someone else  may very well have had the same problem before you have.  Also, reading the documentation can help you gain a good understanding of how everything works.

Any update to this, as adding Media Queries to your site, shouldn't cause DMS to not load. It sounds like there is something else causing the issue.

      Hi guys,
      every since Chrome introduce scroll anchoring (see chrome://flags) blog posts on my page start scroll automatically as soon as the user scrolls down a bit. It is super annoying and I don't know exactly what triggers the incompatibility with Chrome's latest feature that is supposed to improve usability.
      Since I don't know what causes it (Pagelines, or a Plugin), I would like to disable the feature using a CSS override that Google describes as follow:
      "Scroll anchoring aims to be the default mode of behavior when launched, so that users benefit from it even on legacy content. A CSS property overflow-anchor can disable scroll anchoring in part or all of a webpage (opt out), or exclude portions of the DOM from the anchor node selection algorithm. This property supports the following values when applied to an element E:
      overflow-anchor: auto (the default value) declares that the DOM subtree rooted at E is eligible to participate in the anchor node selection algorithm for any scrolling box created by E or an ancestor of E. overflow-anchor: none declares that the DOM subtree rooted at E is not eligible to participate in the anchor node selection algorithm for any scrolling box created by E or an ancestor of E." Do you guys happen to know how to use that property with the ROOT element so it applies to the whole page?
      Thanks

      Hi,

      I have been using DMS and pagelines.
      I am facing to a huge trouble with the appearance of one of my page on mobile (smart phones) built with pagelines.
      However I haven’t come to any solutions to organise either edit the appearance of mobile view to look neat or deactivate the responsive function.
      Now it looks totally messy on the phone...

      1. Is there any way to edit the appearance of the mobile version (responsive theme)?
      2. Is there any way to deactivate responsive function?

      If I could receive support from you to go thorough this process I would be happy to be a pro member.

      Looking forward to hearing from you.

      Hi,
      I desperately need to deactivate the responsive function on mobile for reasons. It looks so messy with the responsive look on mobile and not navigating or informative at all as it is.
      I searched for solutions online and tries some of those that I found but nothing worked out. Also I found a previous post on this forum says that this theme pagelines DMS is not meant to be build to deactivate the responsive function...
      Also tried with widget such as WPtouch to edit the mobile look a little more informative but as I am using "single page" theme on pagelines, the frontpage(main page) never appears on those app.
      Seems like not compatible?
      If there is no way to deactivate responsive function or I'll have to recreate another page just dedicated for a mobile page? or change the theme completely and build a page from scratch?
      I have been searching for this for two days already...
      Could anyone wise and kind out there, please help me?

      Thanks,
