Hello -

The slider that is on the Home Page of our website (www.rphospital.org) is not showing up/working properly. I have tried to reload and fix things in the back-end of the slider options but it is still not showing up. Please advise. Any direction to get the slider to work again is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Cheyenne

Hi jenrusfreelance

What about the slider isn't working? which slider are you using? where on your site might this be located? ;)

The answer to many issues can be found by searching in the forum before posting as someone else  may very well have had the same problem before you have.  Also, reading the documentation can help you gain a good understanding of how everything works.

We are using the QuickSlider and it should display in between the menu and the three 'Services', 'Jobs', and 'Birthing Center' towards the bottom of the Home Page. It has worked fine in the past but within the last couple of days it is not appearing.

HI there - inspected you site and there is no slider added to your page. Make sure you have published the changes in the DMS editor

Yes, we have published the changes in the DMS Editor. The slider on the home page was displaying and showing up fine until just this week and now it's not showing - Not sure what's going on or what else we can do. We have uploaded all the QuickSlider pictures again and started from scratch on it, but no avail. Any other thoughts?

Thanks for looking into this!

You dont have a slider uploaded to that page.

Chrome Developer tools - please use them. If you are not sure how, then it is easy to learn

Be inventive in your keyword search of the forum ie Navi > Navbar > menu > tabs > font > color. Your answer lies there somewhere!

Hi,

You're using PageLines Framework, but have posted in the DMS forums, please refrain from doing this, as they're completely separate products. Therefore, I have moved your topic to the correct forum.

In regards to your issue, your problem is that you have the default slider images missing, i.e. they have been uploaded, this is giving 4 or 5 404 errors in the Browser console. You will need to fix this by uploading the images yourself or add your own images to your slider.

Also,  I recommend you download PageLines Framework from GitHub, as it is the Premium version of PageLines Framework, whilst you're using the free version from Wordpress.org.

Please be aware that PageLines Framework is now considered legacy and will eventually be no longer supported. Therefore, I recommend you upgrade to DMS.

Thanks for the reply-

I am confused though.  See here:  http://www.rphospital.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/quickslider.jpg.  It is from Pagelines/Page Options/Quick Slider.  As you can see, there ARE images uploaded there, but they are not showing on the home page.

Any advice on this one?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I will look at the upgrade.

Hi Cheyenne

I've logged in and taken a look at your site. You definitely have a jquery error on the site, which is most likely caused by the plugins you have installed. You'll notice that in the edit page meta some of the icons aren't aligned and the buttons float about etc. Whenever you see this something is conflicting with the core code and overriding it.

Please disable and flush the super cache plugin you have installed, then deactivate it. Then disable your other plugins, clear the browser cache and check the page again. The template isn't currently showing that there is a quickslider in the layout, so after you've done the above add the slider again into the layout and save.

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

      Hello there,
We are still using DMS 2 and were wondering if it was at all compatible with slider revolution. (https://codecanyon.net/item/slider-revolution-responsive-wordpress-plugin/2751380). Our issue is that the default revslider for DMS clips the top and sides of videos when made responsive. As the video is made smaller or larger the bottom of it tends to be cut off, or the sides are. We noticed slider revolution was 100% responsive, but have had numerous issues even getting it to display in DMS 2. We have tried using the shortcode, and various php scripts to no avail. Our last attempt was to try and load it with header scripts, but at this point we seem to be further away than ever.
This leads me to a few questions:
      1. Is Slider Revolution even compatible with DMS2?
      2. Is there a way we can get 100% responsive video in DMS 2 with zero clipping? (tonyrobbins.com is another good example of the effect we are trying to achieve.)
      3. If Slider Revolution is compatible, how do we go about adding it in?

      Thank you for any help.

Hi Developers, I wasn’t sure what the best way to get feedback was but didn’t really want to put this in the facebook group, I did put this in the slack developers group but trying to figure out the fastest way to get feedback.  I am starting a new site for a client and was looking through the showcase to see if there were any samples for slider modifications like I am trying to do for our build and couldn’t find them.  Basically I want to have a blue section at the bottom of each slide that has text in it.  The text will change with each slide along with the image.  Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on how this modification could be made?  Here is a sample of the slider from the design.

      Hi,
I was wondering if there's a way to modify the slider container size? My client would like it skinner- not as tall. How would you suggest doing that?
      Thank you.
(this is for the paoloimperiale.com slider on the homepage)

I thought I had seen the last of this problem. However, please look at dev.stevensoncraneservice.com (the development site for our company). Every internal page looks fine. However, the home page is "broken" on every browser. However, when I'm logged in when using Chrome as a admin, the site checks out fine.
Can you help me figure this out?
      Thanks,
      Rich

      Hi,
I am using the Canvas Area section at the top of my site. I have a video playing in the background, which works really well on desktop. But on mobile video doesn't play without user interaction, so I have a static image in place as an alternate image. However when viewed on a mobile device there is now a play button over the static image that does nothing. This didn't use to happen so I imaging it is due to an upgrade. But this is really bad UX. Is there a way to remove it?
      Here is the site:

      Thanks in advance.
