Same issue here. Looks like it's been a while since bp templage pack has been updated. Is this still a viable way to use platform and buddypress together?

Yes, but you may need to manually add some important links for buddypress. I believe they have some answers for you on their site. In Platform, BP is supported graphically, but if there are issues with it, then there isn't anything we can do...

Ok. Looks like the best solution for me was switching back to the original theme offered by Buddypress.
