Problems with Carousel Navigational Arrows

Recommended Posts

JawDesigns

Hello,

I am using the full width carousel with the default arrows at either sides of the carousel. The arrows are obviously used to navigate to either the previous or next carousel slides. I have noticed that when I move my mouse cursor over either of the arrows (on a macbook pro) they move and cycle through to another arrow. I did not notice this in earlier versions in DMS but since I have updated to DMS Version 2.0 I have noticed this problem.

Is there a fix for this issue?

I was also wondering if it is possible to change the arrows for some of my own icons? If this is also possible how could I do this please?

Kind regards,

James

JamesW, I have noticed this too.

To make sure we're talking about the same thing, here are the differences:

DMS 2.0.3 video: http://screencast.com/t/XyXQX65U

DMS 1.1.8 video: http://screencast.com/t/40ljoYU507

It's because of these differences (see red outline area on the DMS 1 screenshot):

DMS 2: http://screencast.com/t/67BxyLvqHMF

DMS 1: http://screencast.com/t/d03jgX3cN1rs

If you change this:

transition:color .2s linear,background .2s linear;

to this:

transition:color .2s linear;

then the problem in DMS 2 will go away.

I will update this ticket when a fix has been released, which will be in a few minutes.

As for using your own next/prev images, you'd have to dig into the LESS CSS to figure that one out, but no it's not an easily-customizable thing.

Please update to v1.8.3 and report back if it's been fixed. Thank you.

      Hi,

      How do I remove the padding? There seems to be a bit of blank space on top and bottom of the image as well as a bit to the right of it. I'm not sure if it has to do with image size. I tried to crop all my images the same size.

      Hi there,

      I'm trying to make the images in the Cool Carousel skew and resize depending on the browser size.  Currently I'm using css height: 100vh, which is giving me the effect I want, however it's taking in account the size of the fixed menu bar and the content I have above it, so instead of resizing the image to the size of the browser, it's cut off and falls below the fold.  You can check this out at http://makaicollection.com/overview/

      Any help on how to modify this would be greatly appreciated.  Again, I'd like the full image to be seen above the fold, but resize in height and width depending on the size of the browser window.

      Thanks in advance.

      Hi,

      I am using the Cool Carousel plugin and the recommended re-order plugin. However, I have realised that sometimes when the page loads it displays another cool carousel slide which is not supposed to display first. Does anyone know why this keeps happening? It would be good to fix this because it's always important for me to load the first slide. My site is: http://www.jawdesigns.co.uk/

      Kind regards,
