Custom iCallout button colors

Hi there,

How exactly can I add a new colour for the iCallout button please in DMS2? I've tried changing the color with CSS of an existing colour selection which works fine but I can't get the hover color to change - tried many different things with CSS but the hover color won't change.

So is there an easy way to add your own custom colours?  I've looked at the less file for the iCallout section and there are no colors set there. I've also looked at the colors less file and there are some button colors there but I don't think these are the same ones that set the iCallout button colours.

Strangely there is no yellow to select in the iCallout drop down list.

Many thanks in advance!

Hi,

The best method would be to simply create a child of the iCallout section and then edit the section.php file and add more colors to the options, then edit the .less file and add your styling there, you can use the current colors as a base.

If you do not fancy doing that then you will need to use custom CSS. For example:

#site .icallout-action {
background-color: #F00;
}

#site .icallout-action:hover {
background-color: #F00;
}

Many thanks Danny, that CSS did the trick - I must have tried everything but that!

Cheers!

Hi,

I have an issue creating a child section within a child theme.

I cloned and modified the iBox section and this works just fine

However when I tried to clone the highlight and icallout, nothing happens.

the modified sections are located in wp-themes/skeleton-advanced/sections/

Now I found out that the base locations of these sections are different from iBox.

iBox is located at /wp-themes/dms/dms/sections 'note dms twice in the url'

icallout is located at /wp-themes/dms/sections

why is this difference and how do I clone and modify the icallout?

thanks!

Hi,

I have just this moment add both the highlight and iCallout to my skeleton theme and cloned the sections without any issue. Therefore, can you try clicking on the reload sections button on the Add to Page panel. If that doesn't work, can you .zip your highlight and icallout sections and send them to me so I can test them myself.

Hi Danny,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Your suggestions to reload the sections worked!

      At the bottom of this post, there is a CSS only option that I have implemented into my site. It looks brilliant, and I am super grateful for that addition to the thread. The only issue I am having is that the code he provides does not include all of the styling options for the button itself.
      My question is, how might I go about editing the styling of the button i.e. shadows, every element of the coloring, and border colors?
      No big deal if it's not easy to fix. Happy to provide any further information if necessary.
      Kind regards,
      Dan
      P.S. I have opened up the button in Google Dev window with Inspect and start editing it there, but it looks like there are some areas of the code that are connected to an external source (most likely bootstrap) and therefore I can't seem to edit it as much as I would like.

      With the great options to make price tables, i would skip the button under every option. But .... how can I do this?

      I would like to add Google Analytics click tracking to the buttons on my site. I use the Pagelines shortcodes for the buttons. I was able to add the necessary header script easily using Custom Scripts.

      How can I insert the following onclick option to my buttons?

      onclick=”trackOutboundLink(‘http://www.domain.com’); return false;"
