DMS 1 Change "Leave a reply" text in comments

3 posts in this topic

Hi Guys,

I'm looking to re-word the "Leave a reply" text in the comments section.

I have done a bit of looking around the various wordpress forums and found that by adding the following to the comments.php file i can get it working but unfortunately the comments section is now doubling up.

comment_form(); ?>
    <?php comment_form( array( 'title_reply' => 'Comment here please', 'label_submit' => 'Go go go!' ) ); ?>

I wonder does anyone no what ive done wrong? Problem can be seen here:

Hi there, if you edit the core files the changes will be wiped out each time you update.

You'll need to add this as a filter inside the functions.php of a child theme like -

function comment_reform ($arg) {
$arg['title_reply'] = __('Your text goes here');
return $arg;

      I have installed and activated the disqus comments plugin and no matter what I do the comments will not show up on my posts. Is this a know glitch with disqus and pagelines?

      By Jason J
      Hello all,
      I realize there's a chance that this super-basic question is going to make me look foolish, but I can't find a setting for it.
      Most blogs I come around allow people to reply to a specific comment (there's a reply link for each comment as opposed to just one reply at the bottom of the comment list).
      On a blog I manage that's using Pagelines (and foolishly not a child theme), there's no such reply link for each comment, only one at the bottom of the page.  I thought maybe there was a comments setting somewhere that would enable "in-line" commenting, but I couldn't find one.
      Am I overlooking something very basic, or is it a matter of adjusting the theme code to allow this?
      Thanks in advance,

    • Move Comment Box Above Comments
      By erin-wsk
      I'm not sure if this is something that can easily be done, but I'm looking to move the respond section above the actual comments (when a post gets 100+ comments, it can be cumbersome to scroll through all of them to just respond). I've tried creating a custom section but the comment code is a bit engrained in the DMS theme- I'm not sure it can easily pulled out an made into a tidy section. Any thoughts or points in the right direction would lovely.

      By curias
      Hi there,
      Wordpress: 4.1
      Theme: Pins Pro
      Pagelines Pro enabled
      On each post of the blog it says at the top: Add comment. When you click on it nothing happens. If you click on it in the pins view it takes you into the post and then in the post when you click it nothing happens. I checked the wordpress settings and anyone is allowed to comment, they just must leave their name and email address. What do I need to enable to get the comments to work?
      Thanks for your time,
