Help! Blog posts disappeared..

Recommended Posts

glynt

HI all,

Something very strange has just happened to my website... most of the blog posts have disappeared.  The snippets are still available on the blog page, but the entire content of most of the individual blog post pages has gone.  In the WP posts section the titles are still there, but when I click to edit the page nothing happens...

Can anyone suggest anything?  Please go to www.gt-images.net/photography-news and select some of the blog posts to see what I mean (one or two work, but most don't...)

Many thanks for any help!

Make sure you have the content section added to the Blog Post  template http://screencast.com/t/tkB16HLcHzD

And make sure you have post loop added in your content area template http://screencast.com/t/DvVG5LHh5gOn

Hi Martin,

Many thanks for you reply.  Those are all fine.  I have been trying to work it out and I think it is something to do with the menu - the drop down menu items don't work on the blog post pages that aren't showing, and if I use Google Chrome Developer tools to try to see what is going on I get this message:

Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'superfish'

I believe the 'superfish' is something to do with the drop down menu function...?

Cheers,

Glyn

Superfish menu's are a third party plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/superfish/

Try disabling the plugin to see if it resolves the issue.

Any issues with the plugin use and DMS 2 would need to be reported tot he plugin dev on the link here http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/superfish

HI martin,

That's just it, I don't have the Superfish plugin... I use the Pagelines menu... the only plugin I have related to menus is Simple CSS Lite which is a plugin designed for Pagelines.  I've tried deactivating this and it makes no difference...

HI martin,

Thanks for your help, i have traced the problem to w plugin called WP Flow Plus - strange because it hasn't been updated recently, I guess the update of something else has affected it...

Thanks for letting us know. If the plugin hasnt been updated for a long time best to stop using it in most cases.
