Customize Full Width Headers in DMS2

Recommended Posts

The new full width header component in DMS2 returns the page title dynamically like this: http://screencast.com/t/3Isv3gvP

The result I am trying to achieve is this: http://screencast.com/t/NZnQgENegl

Is there a better way to achieve this other than pasting the code within the page title in the editior: http://screencast.com/t/b1FzqOdji

Here is example code I am using for the text in the page header field.

<div style="font-weight: 600; font-size: 36px; line-height: 48px; color: #10337C;"><a href="http://runneracademymembership.com/core-training/"><img src="http://runneracademymembership.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/CoreTrainingHeader3.png"></a> | [1.5] Finding Time To Run</div>

The reason I ask is it makes a mess of my back end: http://screencast.com/t/I1diAysY

I would like to be able to have the code that generates the graphic for the header and have the page title popin dynamically where shown and be able to tie that look to a template so I can just add page titles normally. Anything I can do CSS or otherwise?

You could use a hook and add the code for the symbol before the page title in each case.

The answer to many issues can be found by searching in the forum before posting as someone else  may very well have had the same problem before you have.  Also, reading the documentation can help you gain a good understanding of how everything works.

Martin Davies Interesting idea. Can I create a hook that is unique to a template? For example, I have a different image that I would want to use for 'core training' 'strength training' and 'injury prevention' before the title in the header.

The template class with is assigned to the body - http://screencast.com/t/HKHNVcX8evnB

You can add that as a class
