Change Background Color of "Quotes" in Viewer

Recommended Posts

I'm using the most up to date pagelines Viewer theme.  I cannot get the "Quotes" full width slider to change colors.

I have tried every thing I can with custom code but the Background remains black!

Can someone help give me a walkthrough.

I have tried all the custom code offered in other forums and even from inspector / dev tools.

Hi there,

Try the following

.rsDefault, .rsDefault .rsOverflow, .rsDefault .rsSlide, .rsDefault .rsVideoFrameHolder, .rsDefault .rsThumbs {
    background: #CCCCCC;
    color: #FFFFFF;

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

      I recently added the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin so I could track outbound links more easily. At the same time I manually removed the GA tracking code from the custom code field in Pagelines. I then turned off (WP Super Cache) and deleted the cache. However, despite having tried to remove the cache several times and testing in incognito, the custom code from Pagelines continues to generate.
      Has anyone else seen this? Any suggestions?

      After the update I now see a large white gap between every line of custom code, this is a bit of a hassle considering there's 200+ lines now with more to come.  I posted a screenshot here: http://citywomen.org.gridhosted.co.uk/screenshot/

      After adding custom code to DMS all editing functions stopped working.  I have not been able to edit for a week, not even delete the stupid code that messed it up.
      Can anyone help me without having to reinstall DMS?

      We have been customizing sites with the old framework for about a year and loved it.  We could easily add hooks into the site (for example a line under the post title or a footer design at the bottom of the site) but now it seems we cannot do that without going through all the hoops of creating a child theme?
      Please tell me I am missing something here.  We have been with pagelines for almost a year now and have used the custom CSS code plus the hooker plugin to make some awesome custom sites.  Now, it seems a lot more complicated?
      I have read the docs on hooks a couple times and this just seems way more complicated than it used to be.  Are we getting hooker back for DMS?
      And I cannot even attempt to create a child theme because the base theme is not available for download.
      Please help!

      [attachment=1256:Screen shot 2013-07-18 at 12.48.02 AM.png]I am trying to configure my classic navigation bar to eliminate the search bar. I've already unchecked the box under headers and footers, but because I've entered custom code to also center the navigation bar (found on another thread here), it appears to have overridden the original setting. Here is the code I have entered in the custom code area labeled CSS/LESS:
      #site .navigation_wrap .main_nav { margin-right: 0; }#site .main_nav ul { text-align: center; float: none; }#site .main_nav ul > li { float: none; display: inline-block; }
      Is there any way to keep the classic navigation centered while also eliminating the search box?
      My website url is: www.hawlieohe.com
      I have also attached a jpg here showing what it looks like now. Thank you in advance for your help!
