I am trying to add CSS3 grow action to my hero button but don't really know how to approach this. Here is the code I want to add to the button:

.grow {
  display: inline-block;
  -webkit-transition-duration: 0.3s;
  transition-duration: 0.3s;
  -webkit-transition-property: -webkit-transform;
  transition-property: transform;
  -webkit-transform: translateZ(0);
  -ms-transform: translateZ(0);
  transform: translateZ(0);
  box-shadow: 0 0 1px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);
Where can I enter this code? In custom code? What else do I need to do? Please let me know.

You cannot add the grow CSS to the Hero button itself but you can very easily recreate the hero section using two columns in a full width section area. The image on the right and the text on the left or however you want to set this up. Then you add the CSS for .grow to the Custom CSS field you can then give the custom class .grow to the button in the custom class box or to the Class for the button in new hero section you have created.

The answer to many issues can be found by searching in the forum before posting as someone else  may very well have had the same problem before you have.  Also, reading the documentation can help you gain a good understanding of how everything works.
