Add a widget section on your Home page

and then config the widget section.

and then set up a custom sidebar widget, place a text which incoudes your Google + code..

Hi,

I don't personally use Google+, so can you provide the code that is required to be added, its likely you will need to use a hook.

Hi there, you can paste that code into the header scripts box in the DMS control panel.

However, if I remember correctly you can simply add your google plus id in your WP profile and DMS will include this in the header automatically.

Don't edit core files as they'll be wiped on update.
