wendyc 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2010 I use the White House Pro theme (love it!) but am getting two "Leave a Reply" and forms for the wp-comments-post.php on each post where I allow comments. I may just have the footers configured incorrectly, but can't tell. Any help would be appreciated. The site is http://tnlions.org and blog posts are captured as "Latest News" Thanks, Wendy Cain
Andrew 207 Report post Posted November 4, 2010 Have you added any plugins or code that would have caused this?
bryan-hadaway 3 Report post Posted November 4, 2010 Yes, looking here I can see the issue: http://tnlions.org/dg-message-november-2010/ That's very odd, try adding this to your Custom CSS: ` #respond{display:none} .copy #respond{display:inline} ` Thanks, Bryan
wendyc 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2010 Bryan, Thanks! That gets me close as it removes the second form. However, when people make comments, it now puts the existing comments then form then comments again. Check out this post: http://tnlions.org/ram-new-orleans-2010/ Sorry I'm a newbie when it comes to the coding. Appreciate your help!
Andrew 207 Report post Posted November 5, 2010 The issue is that there is a second form.. can you tell us more about why it would be there? Has it always been there? Is it there with plugins deactivated?
wendyc 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2010 I'm pretty sure I don't have any plug-ins related to comments other than Akismet. Up to now, I've only deactivated plug-ins that I tried and didn't like, or it didn't work as I expected. If I methodically deactivate to try to identify the culprit, will the settings WITHIN the plug-ins be retained for when I activate them again?
bryan-hadaway 3 Report post Posted November 5, 2010 Unfortunately, not all plugins are that savvy, some will lose their settings, so you may need to back them up to text file just in case. If you give us a list of plugins we might be able to identify it ourselves. Thanks, Bryan
