ibox configuration

Recommended Posts

Lisa Haran

hi,

I am using iboxes, with 3 x boxes in one row

however there is a gap after the 3rd box indicating the absence of a 4th box.

Initially the number of boxes to configure was 4 and I changed it to 3 but it is not updating.

I saved and refreshed, logged out, logged back in and no joy

I had to configure the number of columns several times before I eventually got this to work.

Is there a way to add your own text to an ibox that is linked, other than having "more>" I would like to have "find out more"

Hi there,

You could do this by translating the string used for that text, using Po Edit to change the more text to that of your choice - http://docs.pagelines.com/advanced/translating-dms

Or you could use the method described in this post, using a child theme with an edited ibox section inside - http://forum.pagelines.com/topic/29912-ibox-change-the-link-text/

Have you made any css adjustments to rows/columns anywhere else on the site, using the class .span or .row anywhere?

Have you got a live link to the site so we can view in the inspector.

Hi there

Excellent, ok looking at the page the width is actually the same for all boxes so the alignment is correct. The first box goes right to the edge of the page, the same as the last box. However, as the last box has more content in it, the words fill right to the edge of the box, which makes it look unbalanced.

To make it look more balanced you can add padding to the ibox text to bring in the sides which would give the following effect. http://screencast.com/t/GyeNVVyEpH

.ibox .ibox-desc {
    margin-bottom: 1em;
    padding-left: 80px;
    padding-right: 80px;
}
